How can you go to bed midway through the 8th and feel confident the Mets have it locked up.... What Mets games were you watching the last 4 years?

Is it true that Jacob DeGrom has the highest batting average on the Mets?

New season, new positive attitude, silly me

Figured 6 outs was no big deal, wind was blowing in hard and hadn't really seen anything impressive bats wise from Philly...

Plus I'm 40 and 930 is past my bedtime

Yep, he was 2/3 yesterday. Not only can he pitch but he can hit. And this team rewards him with a big fat loss

Here are the Nationals players that need to be booed mercilessly when they play at the Mets this year.

which included placing catchers Yan Gomes and Alex Avila; left-handers Patrick Corbin, Brad Hand and Jon Lester; infielders Josh Harrison and Jordy Mercer; first baseman Josh Bell; and outfielder Kyle Schwarber on the Covid-19 related injured list

It's pretty common to have a short leash on starters in their first game of the season. So not shocking that they pulled him imho. I do think the lineup was dumb but whatever they still didn't hit either way. You can't score two runs in Philly and think you are going to win.

I turned it off when they overthrew home plate. I watched the rest on game cast. It's a lonnnnnnggggg season and they had a big break before that game. Might take a few to get into the grove.

Pete gets his first HR as well, he's looked good all spring and has carried that into the season for the first few games...

Another game with some head scratches. How do you use may and Castro again and get loup warmed up after yesterday's game? He does have other relievers he can bring in with a 4 run lead. I know it worked out ok sort of but it turned into a nail biter.

Ya his bullpen management The first two games is puzzling. They got really lucky when they left the guy in to pitch of Harper. I was sure a bomb was coming. Early game today so I won't be able to watch it. Oh well

Hoping for a 45-50+ HR season with .260+ and a gold glove.

This is embarassing. The amount of strikeouts is crazy. Put the ball in play!

First and third with no one out in the top of the first - and didn’t score. That stings and sets a bad table for the rest of the game

Guess Diaz didn't want the lineup to think they had a chance to come back

Conforto sucking mightily with RISP so far deserves the boo's with his $200M extension asking price...drive in some runs and you'll get paid

...Also, this is just embarrassing...how is this even possible...

Since when is Jed Lowrie healthy again? Did Brodie just pay him for a 2yr vacation?

Can we finally agree that Dom Smith is a good hitter and needs to be in the lineup every day?

I believed that for a while now. Still consider it a horrible mistake that he wasn't in on opening day.
