Since there are plenty of team and player collector threads and I haven’t see any for the Mets, I figured I‘d bring this one over here. I started this same thread on another message board back in 2012.

This thread is intended for posting all things related to the NY Mets. Great card pulls, trade rumors, things that make you say “Yea”…. things that make you say “What were they thinking?” Post it here…
  • Pulled a great card of a Mets player, show it off here…
  • The GM has an affair with an unattractive front office worker, talk about it here…
  • Latest can’t miss prospect sucking terribly, post it here….
  • Manager gets fired in the team Hotel @ 3am in the morning, discuss it here…
  • Your favorite player lays down a bunt in his last AB of the season, and then removes himself from the game, to win the batting title, Post it here…
  • Team owners become victims of Ponzi scam, have to pay washed up player for the next 30 years, discuss it here….

I doubt it. I don't think they can pay what Cohen is willing to cough up. Regardless, I'll be more than happy with an ownership team that doesn't have any of the Wilpons.

Mets are going to be making waves. A combination of young core lineup and strong starting pitching plus a very deep-pocketed new owner. I could see them being the favorite to sign Lindor or Betts for 2021 and beyond.

Is it fair to say with the schedule being all NL/AL East teams and no Noah, we should just be looking ahead to 2020/21 Free Agents and Noah returning?

It'll be fun to watch all the young talent and dominant teams in the NL/AL East vs. the Met, but do we really stand a chance of being competitive?

With our luck as Mets fans, at 11:59pm on the deadline of the sale we will find out that all of the money the Wilpons have been paying to Bobby Bonilla all these years has really been going to a secret Wilpon that they have hidden from everyone that will sneak out and save the team for them at the last minute. We will be stuck with the Wilpons for eternity to suffer just as things are getting better because they crush our souls.......

I collect Syndergaard pretty heavily. I just picked this up a few days ago for my birthday. Cost me a 2017 Alex Bregman Opening Day Purple RC PSA 10 and a 2017 Alex Bregman Series 1 Purple RC PSA 10.

Just need the 2015 Heritage Superfractor RC and the 2016 Heritage Black Refractor (been eluding me for years) for 2015 - 2016.
