It does, in the end, chrome mojo will beat out 1st edition imo. Not by 3x though.

These will be so hot this year.. and who knows when they get made, or if they have a lower print run, etc. lots of questions

It's shiny, I do bet its got a higher Print Run. The market likes shiny things man, so it'll go for more

It's possible. I will be driving around to every Target like a madman when these drop so maybe you're right!

I'm willing to bet it will settle close to the Bowman 1st. They wont be too far apart in the end.

Why would Jasson Megas sell for less than First Edition?

Chrome > Paper
Refractor > Paper
Tradition > New gimmick
Mega PR < First Edition PR

If Megas open less than First Edition, I will buy as many as I can.

It does make some sense. Think secondary Mega box price of $50 at the very minimum is a given. $500-$700 of Megas per Jasson on average. At $30/1st pack, it's $450 per Jasson on average. Print run for Mega will be a little higher, but it's also a truly unique card treatment (as opposed to a printed logo on paper stock) that has a well-established following. If 1st edition prices decrease once regular Bowman comes out, 1.5x seems like a safe bet.

I can understand why Reps are doing this, to make a lot of money. However, in the last month, I've had two customers tell me the MJ holdings folks, who stock Walmart, walk into the store and walk out with Mosaic Basketball.

One guy had a smaller single box, put them on the shelf, took a picture and walked right out the back door. Pretty sure that one was straight up theft.

The other Rep, didn't even put them out, everything else was put out, but a single box remained sealed and the rep said "yeah, that's everything I got." Through the miracles of social media - he figured out that he ended up buying them from the person who gained access to the sealed box that the rep didn't put out. Turns out that his Aunt does the stocking...

I'm sure if that was my Aunt and I was getting the hook-up, I wouldn't be complaining one bit - but to prevent this type of Shenanigans, they make the reps take pictures to show it makes it to the shelf...

Agree with all these, but the last - NO WAY the PR is less than First Edition, especially with the super-increased PR of TCU last year

2020 has a stellar 1st Bowman lineup. These would do very well without Jasson. With Jasson, this is cash money. Megas are the easiest 10s I've ever come across. No brainer buy as many as you can. Rip-slab-sell or hold long term. You will do great either way. If the big names all have autos in it unlike last year, this will be the best retail product ever next to Prizm Fanatics.

Not only will these have some stellar prospects but should also have some great chances at RC inserts and autos if there is similar content from previous years. Last year had horrendous RC inserts but should have the possibility of Lux, Alavarez, and Bichette ROY Favorites and parallels this year.

You're probably right, but it's not going to be noticeably different.

First Edition PR is ~12,000. Mega PR was ~12,000 last year. Topps can only increase PR so much. And it's entirely possible that with the printers having been down for a time, Topps may have to cut back some products.

I have about 400 boxes left (sold off some qty last year)
Haven't opened one box

Does anyone actually know when these hit the shelves/if they do (or just get vultured up online)? I live in a pretty rural area with no real collecting community that I know of.

No one but Target and Topps- I'd assume later than last year as printers have been down

A couple of months ago when Topps Series 1 came out, wasn't there a coupon for Bowman Mega that said mid May?

I would imagine Mega's release is at least somewhat tied to Bowman actually releasing, which under normal circumstances, would have been my this point, and thus a potential Mega release in May(ish).

Now, who the hell knows. I'm guessing the printing/packaging is the same as regular Bowman, which means Mega is delayed as well. I'm just hoping they show up on Target.com again this year, because going to Target to try to find some is nearly pointless

That was before the printing company was shut down for a month. Everything is delayed now. We haven’t even been given a confirmed date on hobby and retail at this point. Mega will be later than those as always.
