Ah got it. That makes more sense.
Sometimes they do custom cards for Bunt, but these were a straight lift.

This is precisely the reason why this product has faded on me over the years. There's been no effort whatsoever anymore to try to capture that vintage look and feel with the photos. Not like back in the early 2000's at least.

Looks like the big three all pulled cases from presales.

Still too high for the average collector....

Probably just going to collect some black chromes & autos this year instead of trying to build the set....

I assumed the $99 is pre-order pricing and it’ll pop upwards on the day?

Fresh News directly from Topps: Retail prices for 2022 Heritage are increased by 20% effective immediately. Therefore the MSRP for Heritage retail and release schedule is as follows:

March 18: blasters MSRP up from $20 to $25. blasters have 8 packs of 9 cards per. Cases have 40 blasters.
March 25: Fat Packs MSRP same at $6 per pack. 20 cards per. Cases have 108 fat packs
April 1: Hangers MSRP up from $10 to $12. 35 cards per. Cases have 64 hangers.
April 1: 24 pack boxes MSRP up from $72 to $84 ($3.50 per pack). 9 cards per pack. Cases have 8 boxes.

Direct distributors of retail were just notified of these price hikes today and the direct price from topps was also increased by the same 20% accordingly.

I would expect all further releases from topps this year to have similar price hikes...but that is only my educated guess.

Most of the time Heritage blasters were a tough rip at 20. Id like to say they will be easy enough to find in the wild at that price but who knows any more.

I wonder how they calculated the 20%. Across their entire retail revenue?
The blasters are up 25% and the hangers are up 23.5%. (But fat packs are flat and 24-pack boxes up 16.7%.)

Random thought but what value would Wander RC's have in this? I know the mock-ups show him as a standalone RC, but it can be assumed that it'll be his action variation.

Brujan/Franco? Not a bad combo, but combo heritage RC's don't seem to do too well.

I would've thought Heritage would've treated like flagship in terms of pricing. They'll need to re-introduce retail-exclusive inserts to give them any kind of value.

I think the bigger thing is the staggered release of formats. The timeline for printing/packing really seems to be under stress right now. There needs to be some type of endgame plan from Fanatics to get back on serve.
