I will tomorrow when I get a chance. I guess I was the first person to ever grade a 1971 OPC Tony Oliva at SGC. These were mainly doubles that no one was buying from me on eBay raw at $5 to $15. Now many of them are $40 plus because people are scared of ungraded cards.

Some of the cards from my order. The majority of the cards in the order were doubles and as I stated before, I couldn't sell them on eBay even for a few dollars. They were sharp cards, but many had centering issues like the 1977 Topps Dave Casper. The grader was more lenient on centering than I have had before. Was expecting a 7 to 7.5 on the Casper. The L/R centering is exactly 35/65, which is the bottom of their standard, but with SGC you don't typically get that grade. Lots of cards I expected 6.5 on, got 7.5's. I am going through my collection and only keeping the highest of the high eye-appeal cards. Will be selling a high percentage of my PC over the summer. Grading has gotten way too inconsistent IMO. Even with SGC, I am seeing +/- 1 grade recently depending on who grades your cards. Expecting a 7 and getting between a 6 to 8, is just not acceptable.

I think SGC holders present tobacco and similarly sized trading cards very well. They're my go-to when it comes to these card types.

Does anyone else scan their cards before shipping? This will be the 2nd order with a card that appears to have been damaged in their possession.

Waiting to physically inspect, but one of the scans have multiple dinged corners and some sort of residue on the back. It's a modern card, I wouldn't bother sending it in that condition.

That’s a good idea. I emailed them too but hey it’s Friday. Someone in New Mexico signed for it today so if you read this board let me know! I’ve even got a name for who signed for it, just no exact address. I’m in the southeast so quite a ways off. Hopefully this doesn’t turn sour. Never had anything like this happen. Pretty big F up.

My order I just posted above that was lost was shipped 3/4, was received 3/11 and posted complete on 4/1 so you should be any time.

This happened to me. I had a bunch of Kevin Durant Rookies and low end LeBron James rookies. The person's order I received had some older F1 and Indycar cards.

I actually ripped SGC a new one in the SGC Facebook Group. I received a phone call from Brent Martin about two hours later. Here is the number 800-742-9212.

Luckily, the person that received my cards was also an honest person. SGC paid for the priority labels and we shipped to each other.

They refunded the entire grading cost and gave each of us 25 free submissions and 20% off the next paid for order.

I did as I expected. I had 7/10 grade how I thought, 1 higher, 1 lower and 1 way lower (89 UD Griffey). Must have missed something on that one. Excited to get these back. Images aren't ready yet, but the highlight is a 10/10 2003 SP Authentic SOTT Peyton Manning.
