I'm not complaining at all. I finally picked up a prism 203 for less than 100. A few weeks ago these were knocking at 200 and I was seriously considering hitting that BIN button at the 150ish range more than a few times.

If his cards keep going down than I'll keep picking up the ones that I've wanted but have gotten out of my comfortable price point.

Now is the time to buy.

You guys know what this place is like during the offseason. Hype for the following season gets whipped up into a frenzy and prices go bananas. We saw it last year with Acuna and Soto.

No matter how Tatis ends this season, the overwhelming consensus in the offseason is that Tatis and Soto are going to be smashing records and look how young they are and this is the year and one of them will win the MVP and endless boner strokes for months on end. Prices will only go up.

It will become a beast that needs to be fed everyday and people posting pickups and talking about new high prices will just keep feeding it and feeding it. Who else will the baseball board talk about in the offseason?

Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Bought my third Chrome Update X /199 the other day for < $100. I bought the last two at auction near $170 with snipes at ~$275.

Nice get. I was bidding on those a few weeks back and took it off my searches. I had no idea they dropped so hard. Is it just the lower end stuff that came down like this? I see an Update auto just sold for $500. It doesn't look like it was ever that much higher

Yeah not too sure to be honest. I was watching the auto at the same time as I almost picked one up a few weeks back for $649 BIN but didn't bite. As soon as the auto crossed $500 I just upped my Xfractor snipe haha. Very surprised with the auction ending price as I was expecting a $150-$200 sale.

I would say thanksgiving is the time to buy. Hell soto was a DBL away from winning a WS MVP and his us300 psa 10s were down 20-25% from what they were during the series. Yes it is 2020 so i could be wrong but needs more cooling in my opinion.

Well, I definitely don't know enough about the timing of how things work so perhaps it is better to wait until November. But I do know that we haven't had a hobby offseason in baseball for two years now and once the hype trains leave the station there is no bringing them back. They're unstoppable.

I'm fairly sure I remember Tatis being the one that didn't really drop in the offseason. And if he did it at all it wasn't by much and it was very brief. That could've been a product of him being hurt for the last couple months and having an "extended" offseason market.

There were violent rises in prices in some players starting from mid January last year. Early December felt like the bottom to me

In hopes it may deter any fraudulent reuse of the photo on ebay. Not sure if this practice (or concern) has any merit to be honest. Been trying to determine where I land on this issue and figured obfuscating doesn't hurt.
