I agree! Not only is this board the most valuable resource I have found, there are plenty of nice people on here that have answered my questions though PM.

I do this for fun so I've been buying the under the radar stuff for a little while now. I suspect that stuff isn't going to drop as much as it will just hover where it currently is.

I agree with my homebody up above that said there probably won't be much of an offseason for players like Tatis and Soto, however, I do think there's that small window about three weeks before Xmas when mofos have to sell cards they don't want to in order to fund the purchase of gifts. There's just no way around that and it can happen to anyone. Deals can be had because folks are usually looking for quick sales.

But the window on the super dope investment boner cash shwing cards has just about closed for me. I'm living in the $300-$400 range now and like being able to buy more of those cards than plunking it all down on just one (although I agree the Sappire is the bat's balls).

But the great thing about Tatis is that there's cool stuff at every price point. Everybody can pick up a cool RC card of him, even if you only got $10. That's nice. It keeps this thread alive and going and we all get to contribute and have fun with the hobby, which is the most important thing.

Solid post!! I agree 100%... January is the new March for Tatis, Soto, Acuña etc... December will be the bottom, it definitely was last year... Also, those under the radar cards you’re buying haven’t seen a bump yet, very very smart collecting/investing...

Some Tatis-es finally back from BGS. Just wanted the S2's in slabs, didn't care about the grades. Was fine going 1/2 on the Gold Refractors.

Anything that’s common like base, unnumbered refractors, or base autos you should definitely wait until December to buy. Anything that doesn’t show up often you’re fine to bite the bullet and buy now, that’s how I’m approaching the next couple months

Not sure how some still don’t think the 410 is the meanest of cards. The SSK glove shot is just plain cool. And I only kept a few base of it sold off all my big parallels & I still say “even for a horizontal” that card is beautiful. Sorry I just can’t comprehend otherwise. Carry on

ebay comps are $1400-1800 but i do think thats a bit high.

A lot in the hobby doesn't make sense right now. This is going for more than his base TC auto. I have that but i'm holding. Only thing is this is a better looking card. Not saying thats a legit reason though.

More power to you and I agree on the pic. If people out there are willing to pay the price that's all that matters. I knew the Tatis market was warping traditional thinking on the value hierarchy but this was one a big surprise
