Aside from Wilson and Forte..nobody had any real explosive stats for fantasy among the big expensive names

Rodgers had nice stats, but not enough for his price..same for Brees..
Not a thing I can disagree with here. I had more Cobb lineups than Jordy, but even in my Rodgers-Cobb stack leagues I'm losing to guys that drafted Sammy Watkins along with a bunch of other guys that hadn't gotten any real notable stats before today.
Really kicking myself for taking Kearse over Baldwin. I figured STL was more susceptible to the deep ball target in Kearse than Baldwin.
I had Golden Tate pegged completely wrong.
After a couple weeks of liking Owen Daniels, I give up on him only to watch him vulture Forsetts best TD shot...
Fred Jackson gets hurt.
The Washington offense is nothing short of offensive against an awful Titans DEF.

My only possible saving grace could be a HUGE Larry Fitzgerald second half, and the only way that happens is if the Raiders play inspired like last week. That's what I get for trusting the Raiders...

Edit: I left off Stepfan Taylor getting Andre Ellingtons TD...

still a long night ahead of us, but I currently have 118 Points with Dez & Murray going right now. Current leader is at 157. I would love to get to the 130 Range and maybe make a few more bucks!

Missed the money on all 8 entries... had the Seahawks D on all the entries too. Seemed like a sure good play... Didn't get much from Oliver and Forsette either... Terrible Terrible day. Have some hope on 1 with Brown tomorrow but with tonight's game, that might fade fast..

well..for Thur/Mon..

Manning at $10k..depends how close the game stays if he pays off; still think Kaep was better play for his price

so far no WR has really sprung, except for Stevie J and if someone took him with the WR available god bless you...

a struggle at TE with Davis dropping easy catches and Julius not paying off his salary

ive seen people going with the big WR only to have to slide in Hyde, Blue and Blount at RB at a discount

im hoping thats where i can sneak back in it with both RB tomorrow night

Like everyone I had a bad weekend, second losing weekend in a row. Small change in terms of money but I am paying for my lessons. I decided to enter a 2.2 million seat entry thing and sitting at 5th place, less then 15 from the 1 with three playing tomorrow night. If the steelers have a good night Bell, Defense, and Wheaton then based on the lineups in front of me I think getting 1 or 2 will salvage it

My team on fanduel turned out really well. 140.22, currently in 37th place in the survivor, so I'll easily advance on that one. I just wish I entered this team into more tourneys.

Well, my late people bailed me out, Odell Beckham having a good night possibly will let me cash in the $5 double up. Have the Steelers K that just needs to get me a few points.

Joined a $2 late night league, and killed it with Manning/Hillman/D. Thomas. Hopefully a good night tonight and I can come out ahead for the weekend!

Cashed in my two $2 entries, but didn't in my two $5 entries. Decent I guess for first time...

Ellington, Watkins, and D Thomas really carried me.

Great week last week, might turn $54 into $60 LOL this week. Hillman and Manning saved me last night.

Sun-Mon games are possibly going to make my losses this weekend a little easier. I'm currently cashing in a couple triple ups and a few other small leagues.

I'm going after tonight's game fairly heavily on the Mon-Thurs games. The following is my predominant roster:
Rapelisberger - he'll have to pass to win. Likely running for his life with JJ Watt getting a couple sacks.
Foster - Houston just doesn't seem inclined to score many passing TD's. I think they'll jump to an early lead and run Foster 25+ times tonight. TD's are a tough prediction, but I like Foster for 1.
Hillman - the RB2 is the least opinionated spot on the roster for me due to a couple factors: I don't like either Oliver or Hillman to get big numbers Thursday, but Bell is uber expensive. I would go Alfred Blue here, but the savings doesn't bet me Julius Thomas as my TE, so I pick Hillman. He's essentially the hottest girl willing to go home with me at the bar tonight. I'm not thrilled, but he fills a need.
Brown - HOU and PIT are tied for most 20+ yard passes allowed. Tonight's game will have PLENTY of 20+ yard gains. Therefore I picked the most explosive WR's on the board.
Hopkins - it was tough to choose between Hopkins and Johnson. I think Hopkins is more explosive and will have slightly lower ownership due to getting fewer targets per game. I'm just hoping Bill Obrien and the Texans staff use him as a deep ball threat plenty tonight.
Wheaton - TY Hilton abused the Texans secondary 10 days ago. I'm hoping Wheaton studied his moves...
Gates - Picked solely on his affinity for the end zone and money I had remaining after picking my core team. Obviously I'd prefer Julius Thomas, but his price is utterly ridiculous. Heath Miller could easily do better than Gates in these tournaments, but I can't fathom having over $1,000 in salary cap leftover. Another choice of desperation due to salary.
Novak
Broncos

This is a tough set of games to pick IMO. I think both games will be relatively close and both totals will hit in the 47-51 range. With such a short field, Denver's costs are just too tough for me to swallow (Manning $10k, DT $9100, JT $8600, and so on). Ultimately, I prefer to spend $21,200 stacking PIT's options over the $27,700 it would take to stack Denver. If you sub out Sanders for JT it still hits $25,900. Stacking Rivers and company ($22,400 down to $21,600)is still more expensive than the PIT stack, so it was really a process of elimination when all things are equal. I could stack HOU for $20,200, but I can't reasonably trust Fitzpatrick when I like Foster to vulture the red zone TD's.

Hoping that my off the beaten path pick of Justin Brown pays off, if he were to go off, I would be in line for a decent payday.

I created a few lineups to use a few pieces from Thursday's game to Sunday leagues. Two of those pieces were Hillman and Oliver. Thought I would post this differing opinion.

Branden Oliver's price of $5400 is offering good value. In his last three starts in terms of rushing yards per game he was 5th, 12th, and 7th in the entire league each week. That's ignoring his pass catching ability. On the narrative front, what's the best way to keep Peyton off the field? Rush the ball and on a short week the game plan will involve him. Ryan Matthews is coming back soon but I don't think by Thursday night. Last weekend was an off weekend for him so I suspect most people will be off Oliver. I love him for the price and possible high ceiling (26 and 30 point games over the past three weeks)

Ronnie Hillman like Oliver's price has me on him as well. I wish I could have paired Forsett here but I can't (Forsett is 200 more then Hillman and I'm out of funds). Anyway $4,900 is cheap! Denver's RB's always have value. Since being in the lineup he's been weekly 18th, 11th, and 8th in league rushing yards over the past three weeks. Word on Ball is he won't get the starting job because of his injury. There are only a handful of guys in the league who were even in the top 30 for rushing yards for the past three weeks and he is one of them. Well there are 7 guys total and these two are two of them which to me says good floors and ceiling. He also catches passes and has a 25 and 30 point game.

For the price they could both bust out but I like them

Up by 14 from the next closest guy (im in 6th) in a $50 triple up. Top 6 get paid. Two people are down by 14 on me and still have a RB to go. That means they either have Le'veon or Arian Foster. I am not feeling particularly confident right now, haha.

I think Foster is the only RB I can get excited about in the Mon-Thurs games this week. Oliver has a tough test. Hillman likely won't have the luxury of a 30 point lead. Bell has only found the end zone once this year. On the other hand, Foster has 5 Rushing TD's himself, while Fitzpatrick has only 6 total passing TD's.

I'd pick whichever defense you think will have the most sacks. I think each of the 4 teams score at least 20 points, which means the scoring variation between the 4 DEF's will be off of turnovers and sacks. Turnovers are one of the toughest things to predict, so that leaves sacks. In reality, I pick whatever DEF I have money left for after pimping out my skill positions.

I don't think your assessment is off or unfair. They're both underpriced right now. My thinking is more on the line that DEN-SD passing attacks trade punches and the RB's end up forgotten. Either way, Hillman will be in my lineup as the cheapest option. I think we both believe Bell is the least valuable of the 4 RB's.

Looks like we differ really only in how good Foster will be tonight, with me thinking he's worth the price tag. Although, I'm guessing you value Manning's price tag more than I do.

Either way, I wish you luck. Looks like we can find common ground on making money...or at least trying to anyways

I think a lot of folks are discounting Wheaton. He's cheap and with the number of big plays Houston has surrendered, I like Wheaton to break a long play for a TD tonight.

Good luck!

lol now u guys have me over thinking things lol, Foster is by far imo the best RB of the 4 if Clowney plays tonight between him and Watt dont see bell doing much with Texans front. Dont really see Hillman and Oliver being a big use unless for some reason Denver is that good and puts points up fast and furious through manning's air attack than Hillman once again will be used like last night.

line ups are locks no more changing
Manning
Foster
Hillman
Thomas
Floyd
Wheaton
Miller
Bullock
Houston

I'm really late to this discussion but I'm interested in bankroll management strategy.

I started the year on the cheap. $50 in both FD and DK. My goal (much more like dream was to run it up to 10k).

I started the season playing $10 in cash games (50/50) on each site and 2 $2 gpp on both sites. Quickly was obvious that unless I got really lucky I wasn't going to come close to my goal. Got lucky in week 3 and had two top 25 finishes in the $2 gpp for a total of $250. I started to press and put an entry into the $25 big money gpps. But again realized that one entry takes extreme luck to cash and my week 3 results was probably my luck for season.

So this week I went to playing $50 in cash games and $25 in gpps but put 25 different $1 lineups into the same FD gpp. This appears to be much more sound strategy though top prize is only 4k and not a million.

I have a long shot lineup with Big Ben, foster and brown sitting on 71 points but for the most part i don't expect any big pay days but definitely will come out ahead.

The most painful was a lineup I had with dez and romo that the TD reversal to the 1 footling wiped out 10 points that would of put me over 165 points and 6th overall going into tonight. Instead it will struggle to finish top 50 or so. Still I good outing but ouch how painful 1 yard is.

Does anyone else use a strategy like this? Would love feedback. I also keep track of my stats and roi. The one thing I started this week was to see what percentage of lineups I had certain players in to see if it matched up with my rankings.
