Soto is a better hitter, and nothing else. He's amazing, but in different ways. Tatis has a chance to be a SUPERSTAR. |

I’m just thankful to be able to watch the Padres play on. Tatis is amazing, Manny is evolving into a complete hitter, Myers, etc. if they can get one or both starters back I give them a good shot. Between the resurgence of a couple and the emergence of a couple that lineup now looks pretty strong top to bottom.

There's alot of ifs here. Tatis' injury risk puts him behind both. IF Tatis can stay healthy and IF Acuna's transformation this season was real, they are both a wash. But Acuna still barely speaks English so Tatis' card prices will stay ahead of his if they're similar on the field purely on the wider appeal of Tatis. If Tatis stays healthy, and if Acuna's transformation was real, Soto is behind both of them. All that said, Soto is the only one of the three I'll be buying heavily in the offseason

Top 3 young players in the game can’t go wrong either way. Tatis is 1 a and Soto is 1 b. Acuna is clear #2 after them. After that time will tell. Some are so young still it’s to earlier to tell like vladdy.

we know what SOTO is and pretty much that's his ceiling. He can stay consistent at a very high level, and has way less cards. Has a Ring, but the Nationals are on their way down.
On the other hand TATIS and ACUNA both have much more upside, especially ACUNA if he can figure it out. Then we can start a debate.. Tatis more injury prone, Padres not as popular, but speaks English. Acuna plays for a popular team BUY ALL 3 ![]() I wish I could include TORRES in this conversation. but not at the moment unfortunately |

Soto has already won a World Series and has far fewer rookie cards. The choice is obvious.

Tatis and Acuna are playing catch up to Soto for best young star. He has a WS ring, WS HRs and a batting title before age 22. Tatis and Acuna don’t have a major category title as of yet. Not sure how he’s not a clear #1.

Like many here are saying, Soto is the safer bet.. but the other two could explode If they manage to hit .300 - watch out for unreal prices if that happens. or if one of them is this years WS MVP |

Yea, agree that Tatis has a superstar personality and a flashy game to back it up. Soto might be a better hitter, but Tatis is a far more popular player.

Yeah , said no one. Find me ONE person who makes decisions that takes Tatis over Soto. If they care about being employed. It's not even close dude

He walked 79 times vs 99 Ks as a teenager. Tatis needs a another 5 years to do what Soto did as a 19 year old.

![]() can he play defense/run ? does he speak English? is he liked by the media? there is more to baseball than just how they play.. ask Jerry Jones (owner of the Dallas Cowboys) he would rather make $ than win a game Last edited by brios8; 10-04-2020 at 01:39 AM. |
