And something non-standard 1950s Hank Aaron.

I failed! I keep on buying more random stuff and don't have the patience to buy a big card. Maybe 2025 will be the year.

That list of yours was huge. Better pick one to focus on.

yes, added my 3rd nolan ryan rookie .

as an added bonus, cracked out the psa 4 and got an sgc 5.

so now i have 1 psa 4, and 2 sgc 5's. all pretty much dead centered.

i am a collector's collector at heart. lol.

i'd rather have those 3 than a psa 7. especially if the 7 is off-center.

i just love cards. especially those that present well.

Still looking for a Walter Payton RC in a PSA 8 (no qual)every time i see one its either an old
PSA slab that would be a 6 now or its so far over priced that i pass on it.its the last card i need to complete my 76-88 Topps PSA 8 or better run of all his cards.maybe next year.

I doubt PSA grades many of these cards an 8 right now and if someone gets one, they will charge a premium for it. I am perfectly content with my green label CSG 4.5 of the Payton rookie. It will most likely be upgraded in the future, but I am patient with looking for cards.

I have had a few higher graded PSA slabs and I am either keeping them or will charge a premium for them since the cards inside are a grade or two above cards even graded a few years ago.

As its for a PSA 8 or over run i have little choice but to wait it out for a slab that looks like an 8.serves me right for starting the run i guess.but ill find one someday.8 is a tuff grade for that card so not totally un expected that it will take some patience.someone will get desperate and auction one or a buy it now for a quick sale.never not been able to get the card want at the prce i willing to pay.just takes time.

I think things will get worse next year for vintage. Sales seem pretty strong right now and this tends to be the weakest buying time of the year. Grading also seems to be ticking up. I hope I am wrong, but I think the start to 2025 will see a mini boom.

The vintage collecting community on YouTube is also pushing up lower graded cards. The best deals right now are mid-grade cards.

My son and I will be attending the National for the first time, so hopefully I can score some big hits there. My biggest wants for this year and beyond are(in no particular order):
1952-56 Topps Jackie Robinson
1954 Topps Ernie Banks
1957 Topps Frank Robinson
1963 Topps Pete Rose
1968 Topps Nolan Ryan
1961 Fleer Jerry West
1969 Topps Lew Alcindor
1970 Topps Pete Maravich
1957 Topps Johnny Unitas
1957 Topps Paul Hornung
1958 Topps Jim Brown
1965 Topps Joe Namath
1971 Topps Terry Bradshaw
1967 Topps Jacques Lamaire
1973 OPC Larry Robinson
It remains to be seen how much I can chip away at this list, but hopefully I can at least knock a few off this year.
Just an update. I was able to get the following this year:

1957 Topps Frank Robinson
1968 Topps Nolan Ryan
1970 Topps Pete Maravich

Not too shabby.

T206's Hofers i always wanted (Wajo, Matty, Young and the other Cobbs.
Maybe add a Demmitt/Ohara St Louis.

UPDATE before end of Year:
Got Judge
Traded for a Demmitt St.Louis

So far so good...
I got my Big Heads...except for 1 (Bodie)
I did grab a O'hara St Louis, in which i traded for a Young & Matty
***2025 plans???
1. Find the Big Head- Bodie
2. Grab some more T206 Hofer's (raw-preferred)

Continuing to upgrade my 75 Mini set. Need a few PSA/SGC 8s or better, including Nolan Ryan HL #5, Sal Bando #380 (impossible card), and that dang #646 Checklist.

Looking for a Hindu and/or Carolina Brights T206 Red Sox card, either Tubby Spencer, Jake Stahl (glove down), Cicotte, or Kleinow. Also need a Speaker, but will need a more common back. PSA graded only for this project.

Desperately seeking centered low grade 1948 Leaf SPs of John Pesky and Dom Dimaggio. These cards don't seem to come up often.

Nice 50s raw vintage that pops.

A centered 61 Fleer Bob Cousy, can be raw.

A 1967 Topps Test Sticker of Carl Yastrzemski for Mayor, PSA graded.
