Hopeful we see some Donruss up tomorrow but still think there will be heavy bot action with blasters selling +$13-20 over the increased MSRP. Secondary market seems to have leveled off on them and selling heavily in that range.

It's not as if the bots will only go after donruss. They'll take it and everything else you're trying for if there is margin for resale. At least if donruss were reselling lower it would be a solid rip at msrp if available with this rookie QB class.

Honestly if bots get all the retail product I'll just get hobby boxes. No big deal.
I've been buying retail on Target.com since they started doing the drops and it's progressively getting worse and worse. a month ago if they dropped 40k boxes of Select NBA you'd have like 30 seconds to get the order in your cart and checkout but now they are gone before you can click in the window LOL. In a month it will just be software eating it all so what can you do? Last edited by OneSickDegen; 09-21-2021 at 03:52 PM. |

Donruss blasters if they put up 25k to 40k will drop blasters to $30 to $35 range. Last year once the market was flooded Donruss was at $28 to $32 all day.

I wish they’d put up optic bball at the same time as a big donruss football drop so we can possibly get through on the donruss, sure I’d love some optic but I’ve definitely had success on getting lesser products when a lot of basketball anything is also put up that given day.

I'm not trying to be an a$$ but what is the fascination with Donruss NFL? Is it the Rookies in NFL uniforms thing? I just foresee them printing this into oblivion like they did Select and Prizm NBA. My twitter feed is full of nothing but people at Wal Mart (and Hobby Lobby LOL) with full carts of this stuff. What am I missing?

Over time when a player emerges and people go back and look for rookie cards the Rated Rookie is a common go-to. I kept several Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and a few other rated rookies which over time became substantial gains. It took a few years of them maturing but it was a solid investment. When I’m going to buy a football product to just keep the Rated Rookie’s Donruss is always the choice.

Once NFL Optic hits nobody cares about base paper donruss. I laugh watching all these idiots load up thinking they are going to be rich off it.

Go look up paper rated rookie slabs of some of the better QBs. It's a flagship product that's produced heavily (thus high visibility) so it will be sought after by collectors who decide they want "a rookie card" of a player. No, you won't get "rich" off them unless you have large quantity but you also will not have any issue moving them at an increased value if they continue an upward trajectory on the field. It's the same as Baseball. Just because Topps Chrome exists doesn't mean that people don't want Soto, Acuna, Tatis, Ohtani etc. paper base rookies. The vast majority of collectors are what everyone here considers "low end" otherwise products like Topps flagship, Donruss and Hoops wouldn't exist at the high production numbers they are at.

I'm a collector also but I'm not into paying jacked up prices for retail lol. It seems like a good way to fleece the sheep. I'll just buy singles.

I only buy baseball. I never understood why people pay money for sealed football or basketball product at all. Retail or Hobby. I was merely asking why people are so horny for garbage tier retail product. Try to keep up.
