Default Target Online Sales Thread

Since the other one was locked I thought I'd start one to track online listings as well as other information regarding Target's sports cards.

There was a post in the other thread before it got locked that said that they were potentially going to online purchase/in-store pick-up for all sports cards. If this is true this could be an incredible opportunity for those of us who are not fast enough to get the online offerings. I'm just not entirely sure how you will know if your store got stocked--which is one reason a thread like this could be useful.

I guess you also would have bot boys able to constantly search for the in-store pickup options but I still think picking up with ID would significantly hurt their ability to buy out the entire stock of cards.

i would guess that stock would be handled on MJH end, and they would ship whatever was ordered to each target.

Don’t BOTs get most of the cards on the Target and Walmart websites anyway? What’s the point?

They are rumored to require an ID and in person pickup which complicates things for the botters.

We'll be battling the bots and discord groups with programs that tell them when stuff is in. For us it's the fastest to checkout. I hope Target continues to fight the bot issues. If they don't maybe this will help the grinch bot act to get more attention.

So two members who didn’t contribute to the thread at all call for it to be removed and it happens? SMH

I give zero credibility to a random store employee being the one to drop the big news to that they would be doing the buy online/pick up in store with an ID and will be monitoring it. Sounds just like talk amongst employees. If it was something sent from corporate we would see it else where. Not saying it won’t happen but till it comes from corporate I’m not a believer.

Nothing today. My guess is that we'll probably see the drop next week IF they stick to the regular release system. If they're revamping it w/ in store pick up, then I can see it easily being after Memorial Day weekend or a little longer.

My thoughts exactly... seems typical of moderation on these forums.

A couple of members posted in the original thread and again in this thread that they spoke to Target employees who told them cards would be online purchase with in-store pickup ONLY, ID required.

There has been no confirmation from anybody who would know for sure yet, but we are discussing the possibility.

Turned into pages of politics (e.g stimulus, unemployment, etc).

Actually it was discussing the reason why Hobby prices are so inflated which HAPPENED to touch on politics. Pretty hard to discuss anything without some bit of politics coming into it, but oh well.

Like retail sports cards… this is why we can’t have nice things. Idiots ruin it for everyone.

Reminds me of the "one parent" or "one taxpayer" who complains at a school board or town board meeting about something, and it gets changed a few days later.

Don’t be so disingenuous. It went way past touching on politics.

My guess is same as whoever said it’ll be Ship To Store. Order online, pickup a few days later.
