Of all the justifiable reasons to cancel, not wanting to sell to a buyer with less than X number of transactions within the last 12 months isn't one of them. Someone who was 28 total feedback more likely has around 40 or more completed sales because not everyone reciprocates feedback.

Did the buyer pay? I've sold sealed boxes to 0 feedback buyers and had no problem with such sales. With that said, I always felt uncomfortable each time.

You could always search the buyer's name on google and add keywords like "scam" to the search to see if anything shady pops up.

I would give them some time to pay (maybe 12 hours?) or just message them and ask when to expect payment

If they don’t pay make sure to drop name so everyone can block.

That's the big phenomenon that has been going around this year. I call it "You can hit a Zion for 100 bucks!" BTW I'm with you, that money in Vegas would provide way more fun that whatever you are hitting on those breaks

I hope it gets paid. It could be someone reacting to the latest price. Anyway, you always have the BO offer to rely on, it would end up being 100 bucks or so less. Keep us posted if it gets paid/returned.

Thanks yall! Yeah I'll give him a little time before doing anything and drop his name if he ends up backing out so you guys don't have to deal with him. I do have 3 day payment required so we will see.

it's like a cyclone of euphoria / FOMO. saw it with NT too, but eventually that money dried up / moved on.

one thing I'm curious on, is if it's all just "degenerate gamblers / idiots" dropping this money, or if it's also just recycled money by collector idiots who stumbled upon cash just by happening to have cards that have gone up during the explosion. like, if you happened to have a shoebox full of base Prizms that you just made $10k on, are you running around spending it on random stuff, thinking "well it's house money so who cares", or are you pulling some of that money out of the market to pay bills, or are you carefully investing it in other things? I'll admit even with a lot of the profit I've made, I've also bought some new stuff at current market (read: semi-ridiculous) prices because I wanted it. I passed on the Luka sneaker card last year because it was like $1k or something, this year I spent $3k+ on Zion? so stupid.

justifying the ridiculous prices with the box price is kinda how we got here, no?

"you can hit a $100k Zion (btw, it's not worth that), therefore we're going to charge you $4k per box" ---> "well, the box cost $4k so I'm not willing to sell this napkin patch for less than $500" ---> "well if an NT napkin is $500 this Spectra base should be $250" ---> endless cycle until everyone has maxed out credit cards but is sitting on stuff they think they'll be able to sell to a greater fool

I've had Cards Infinity on most of today while he's been opening Spectra. WOW, this stuff is rough. At what point do gamblers stop with this? He's hit a few Zion base cards, that might be it in terms of notable cards that come to mind.

But boxes are driven by the RJA/RPAs. And in general, box prices should be driven by singles prices and not the other way around.

A Luka Prizm base is at 210-240. His Spectra RC, numbered to 175, is around 250-280.

A Zion Prizm base is at 170-200. His Spectra RC, unnumbered and with a possible print run of 4x of Luka, is around 220-240.

It's properly priced at this point. If it keeps its price (or goes higher) it means that Luka will follow soon thereafter. Which I think it's one of the reasons we are in this crazy times in the first place.

It's a $300 MSRP product. NT is a 1k+ MSRP and has sticker autos. Don't let the secondary market reflect what you define to be a "premium product"

That's a valid point. I guess I should rephrase that as I wish cards that were so low numbered didn't have stickers on it.

Just watched some breaks of FOTL on Layton. Wow, FOTL seems to be beyond loaded compared to hobby. I wish I had bought a few to stash away. All the big names are live and on-card. Insane.
