I just don't understand people buying series 2 moments /15,000 or /12,000 today. They're about to release 36,000 packs increasing supply, which will 100% lower prices on those moments

So I got a pack of the base set that was for sale the other night and pulled an Al Horford, a Bismack Biyombo and........another Biyombo (same highlight, just a different serial number). Has this happened to anyone before?

I'm good with those, it's the people paying the same amount for 35k commons that boggles the mind.

As this thing grows, a 15k common won't look that bad (IMO).

These will only increase the supply of the new moments and select other ones, though right? Like for example the Christian Wood we were discussing yesterday has 14,000 owned and 0 minted (not in packs). But the Nickeil-Alexander Walker only has 3,000 owned and 6500 not in packs yet. I think the ones minted and owned are a good buy considering the market is relatively low on these and no more will be added in packs. Where Wood is ~$40 card, NAW is the same price. I think NAW's a bad buy and sold mine off once I realized this. The market seems to be treating all of these like more will be added, but that's not the case for Wood, Diallo, Boucher, Adebayo, etc.

Very good point. The only ones left for Wood are the ones in the packs, where as NAW is going to be in multiple releases

Pretty sure loot boxes are not illegal in China though. They are just regulated and require

Drop chances that gradually changes in a player’s favour in correlation to how many loot boxes they have purchased.

100% agreed. I don't like that they're mixing series 2 moments in this release. I actually hadn't even realized the /35,000 would be in there. Now I have to dump all mine

It was already a good time to dump those, they all went from a $5 floor last night to around $20.

Ah I see, I hadn't checked the complete list yet. I guess I'll sell off my higher numbered /12k and /15k's considering ~800-1000 will be released of a few of them in these packs. Since it says they're minted and not in packs does that mean this'll be the last packs they are in? I was under the assumption that these were all done being in new packs. I thought that "in packs" on evaluate.market meant only in unopened already released packs, but I guess they mean reserved for packs too? Or that they are in announced, soon-to-be released packs?

For example, for Bam Adebayo Dunk S2/15k it says that 13,000 are owned and 2,000 are "in packs". 800 are to be released today, so does that mean 1200 are in unopened packs only or in unopened packs + being reserved for future packs? Just wondering as this would seemingly affect the future prices.

Edit: on the topic of required moments for pack drops I think there will be a requirement of 5 moments owned for the next big drop, with a legendary drop likely having a days held requirement as well

Not sure if I'm understanding your thought process. If anyone is buying them it's because they either like the player/team or a combination of that and the mint/print run. I dont think any people are digging that far deep into the weeds with the there were only 9500 released with the other 2500 to be released in Common Pack Drops 24-30, therefore I'm not buying it.

You understand that Series 2 is an Open Set and that they add multiple Moments for multiple players, right?

I don't know. TS seems to have enough similarities to trading cards in that sense, and they have an actual lottery system, as well.

I'm sure they're on top of it - just wondering if they were able to skirt those laws.

Edit: It is completely free to join a pack drop, so that probably helps their cause.
