The 1984 AL MVP was still the worst. Funny thing is, the 1987 AL MVP was just as bad. Trammell was robbed in both seasons. If those MVPs go to him, he doesn’t have to wait for the Veterans Committee.

Yes I'm not disputing what was driving the voters in 1995. I'm saying the logic is stupid.

"Can't win MVP because the team is terrible, isn't adding any value"
"Can't win MVP because the team is too good, they're just stat padding"

Both are dumb.
