Depends on what you consider juicing. Something like 80% of the NFL has a therapeutic expemtion to take amphetamines for ADD.

Tell me how an NFL LB/RB passes a test?
If they can pass a test anyone can. Therefore testing is a joke. |

So each sport/position would find the best suitable one for their needs. Only the dumb/careless get caught or in political motives for the league. Even punters have been caught on steroids "lists". |

![]() Yeah because websites never lie about players stats Here’s Jeter in 2000… 6’3” 195 ![]() Tatis 6’3”220 ![]() I know inflation is going on but there is no way Tatis is really 220lbs. For the record I don’t think he’s really on the juice but I certainly do not believe he’s 220lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How many more years of long-term damage are the Padres going to do to his career by delaying his surgery just for the sake of this year's playoff run? One scrappy year at the expense of 5-10 more years of maximum production?
Each time that joint falls out, new areas of inflammation and scarring are happening. This may even threaten his surgical recovery and long-term stability the more they delay. Padres management needs to be seriously questioned if they allow him to play again this season. How are they going to spin, at this rate, 2-3 more shoulder dislocations for the rest of the season? |

If the Padres only care about winning right now and are totally disregarding the long-term health of their players, they will find a way to get him on the field. And sure, maybe, it won't affect Tatis in the next year or two, but what about down the line? When he is getting ready for another big contract, but he can't perform well anymore due to chronic arthritis and joint issues. Or the Padres are stuck with a debilitated Tatis for years. Sacrifice the short term for Tatis' long-term health. Taking him out will be a great way to admit that the Giants and Dodgers beat them at the trade deadline. Then again, the Padres will always be the Padres.................. Last edited by hermanotarjeta; 08-01-2021 at 01:10 PM. |

He could still get it even if he's done for the year. The other leaders in War among pos players are Acuna, and 3 dodgers (Muncy, Trea, Taylor). With DeGrom out, he probably won't get it either. Maybe they should just give both to guys in the AL.

I think if his season ended in late August yes, but not now. Writers are funny. Trout won after missing some of the end of the season so it is possible. If Soto comes alive and has a nice end of the year streak he could get it, but don’t think they’d give it to Muncy. Sucks that both he and deGrom were tracking towards the awards but now both are derailed. Worst thing they can do is keep injecting it and getting through the season. It’s not worth it. More damage can be done and jeopardize Tatis long term. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I didn't realize he only played 88 games, so that's probably not possible. It could end up being Trea Turner. Maybe Machado gets hot. Will be quite a race if Tatis doesn't play.

Machado has been hot and if keeps playing like this until the end of the year, it might actually be him. I'd say Trea is in driver's seat for now. I don't know how the Padres could have much confidence internally after the last week. Shutting Tatis down is starting to make a lot of sense.
