I don't think anything can be done. I thought it was a done deal since they announced it. I wrote to the NFL marketing guy on twitter when the deal was announced saying I wouldn't buy an NFL panini product. He said he was disappointed to hear that but that I should "be open minded" lol.

I personally have never bought a Panini product, though I do own a few cards from ebay purchases. They ruined classic Donruss/Playoff designs that I have been griping about for years. Now they are no better than Pacific, who at least had innovative and creative designs. To think they turned the best card company by far into the trash they sell today is mind blowing.

Because suckers don't care, and stupid people will still pay for those cards just because it is printed on thicker cardboard.

I don't think it does...

As a buyer of a few Flawless Broncos, I'd be PI$$ed if I find out they are not "game worn".

Large companies like this don't usually just apologize for making such a large mistake...

Well if anything should be authentic it should be Broncos seeing how they have the sole buying agreement with them for their equipment like they do for the Cowboys.

All of this is BS. Rookies are event-worn everyone else is Game-used.

Lies. Absolute lies.

I've been calling for a boycott of these mutts for years no one listened.Maybe this will wake you guys up.Also like how they say only 168 were affected.Seems to me that there're going to be 168 pissed off customers.

The Veteran Patches were touted as game worn. The card states Game Worn. The Sell Sheet states Game Worn. If its not Game Worn, then Panini has deceived its customers and a lawsuit should follow.

I give them props for addressing this...

However, that doesn't make it okay. People who spent money on these guys, especially if they thought the cards were GU, should be compensated or be able to return these cards to Panini somehow.

Sure you can exchange it for something of equal or better value? Well what value do they hold when the original card is FRAUD?

I think anyone who can show they purchased a card that has this mistake should get to keep the card and then be reimbursed by Panini out of their own pocket.

Jersey experts need to comb all their cards now to see if any more have the same issue. I'm surprised it's just these 3 and they didn't note any others.

Alshon and Russell Wilson were special enough to be the only players with event worn patches that come from Nike Limited jerseys from 2012-2014.

Despite the fact that hundreds of Alshon jerseys had the correct stitching were released in 2012 and almost every event worn jersey Wilson wore was the older style.

Game Worn - not even close
Event Worn - probably not

That's why you have the lawyers working on the wording in these GU cards. Guarantee what?

... waiting for announcement of name of printing company guy who will take the fall for this. Totally his/her fault. Totally. Now, where'd we put that email with specific instructions to change the text on just those 3 cards?

It would be easy to prove if you bought the card on eBay or by a means that offers a receipt of some sort.

“The error in this case occurred in the labeling of those cards, not in producing them.#@

Good damage control. What a joke. So you make a product that costs over $1k and oops, it was mislabeled and not just one card, but a lot. I could see a class action lawsuit coming, as it should. If you bought one of these boxes, hopefully you saved a receipt and dont dare send in that card for replacememnt.

Panini has been a disaster since entering the hobby in 09. Group breaks are the only reason they are allowed to make crap sandwiches and keep turning a profit. If this were 2004 the hobby would have already flushed them away with the collectors edge and Action Packed company's of the world.

The secondary market on all of their products is laughable. That is a DIRECT case of collectors not liking their products. I am convinced that group breaks are almost hurting the health of the hobby at this point.
Without group breakers I tend to agree we would have seen more balance in the hobby and also less junk products. Panini knows they can get away with it when they have some very talented salesmen working for them as group breakers. I mean guys have been taking baths on products across the board not just panini products and it is not because people want to support these card companies, people are buying into breaks to support the group breakers and maintain the hobby community
