Do opposing pitchers fear anybody in the current lineup. .193 team batting average for June and it seems nobody is picking it up.

McKinney home run 1-0 Yankees he might be the only batter to fear right now him or Bauers.

Nice outing by Severino I wouldn’t have let him pitch to Heim, let’s see how it goes. Fly out to McKinney well done Luis.

Would someone, and I don't give a f#ck who! Would someone tell Volpe to CUT DOWN HIS SWING! He's literally falling out of the batters box after he swings because he's trying to hit everything to Mars! How hard is it to see this? God this organization is full of incompetence.

It just proves that he didn't have what it takes to play in NY. He's a mental midget.

Apparently the whole team can't play in New York though.

Thank you Clay for cleaning up Wandy’s jam 3 more outs and they can steal a game where the offense failed to show up once again. Cole pitches tomorrow so that’s a good thing.

Nah let’s bring in Marinaccio who has one career save to face a lefty right off the bat. This one’s gone Boone stole another victory from this team.

Lucked out on that foul but Marinaccio just looks rusty.

Holmes comes in and saves the 8th, firing strikes. So obviously he's gonna close the 9th. Nope Boone goes with Marinaccio

This team can't afford any mistakes. And Boone does this. What a loser.

What makes me think Boone is not a good handler of the bullpen is that he just doesn’t stick with the hot hand often enough. I will eat crow if Marinaccio works out of it but it must suck always pitching with no room for error.

What you have no complaints about the questionable moves. Yes they won but Peralta got saved by Holmes and Marinaccio saved himself.

Hopefully we can score 4 or more runs tomorrow. Pitching has been great. This offense is hurting my eyes.

For sure not doing themselves any favors in the Ohtani sweepstakes. No way in hell I would want to play for this Yankees ownership/Management if I was him.

Remember when pitchers wanted to come to the Yankees for the run support now it’s the opposite.

Wow Judge possibly done for 2023 ?

Quote:
NEW YORK – Aaron Judge effectively dashed hopes of a quick recovery from a damaged ligament in his big right toe – which he admitted was “torn” running down a fly ball in Dodger Stadium earlier this month. The Yankees had been calling the injury a sprain until now.

Club officials were optimistic that a pair of PRP injections would accelerate Judge’s healing process. But speaking to reporters before Saturday’s game against the Rangers, the slugger’s assessment was far more cautious.

When asked how he was feeling, Judge said, “better but not great.”

Asked to specify when he felt pain – during rehab exercises, strenuous activity or simply walking around – Judge said, “everything.”

“I don’t think too many people in here have torn a ligament in their toe,” Judge said, “If it was a quad we’d have a better answer, if it’s an oblique, a hamstring, we’d have a timeline for that.

“But (considering) how unique this injury is, being my back foot, which I hit off of, run off of, push off of, it’s a tough spot.”

It’s a near certainty Judge will be out until after the All-Star break. The bigger question is whether the toe will prevent the Yankees’ best hitter from returning at all in 2023.
