I don't think one person has handled Twitter and CS since I was there. As for basic communication, I doubt that was ever a thing at COMC...

Yep. Waiting on one from august. Have emailed them three times now with no response. A different shipment of mine from October has already been shipped. Very frustrating.

Nope - but that's a new way of doing it. This has happened before and was completely taken care of immediately by the CS rep.

Pretty much, yes...anything involving COMC credit shouldn't take 5 minutes, that's including a smoke break.

Finally got a response, with a shipping date January 4th or earlier. Lovely...

Hey, I see several pages ago on 12/7/20 there was a question about 3 week submission time and the answers were about active submissions instead of anyone actually getting theirs to completion.
Does anyone have a timeframe start to finish that it took? I had mine received this Tuesday with a Due/Estimated date of 1/1/2021. First submission since 2017 and really have not been locked in with how COMC has been going so I'd appreciate any feedback! |

Depends on which three week service you are talking about. Three week guarantee which is .50 per card seems to be finishing mostly on time. Three week current year is about a month plus behind - I'm getting stuff with original due dates of 11/3 and earlier right now.

At this point, why in the world would anyone send in current year at .35 cents each when it appears that sending current year in the normal 3 week .50 cent per card is a much better option for only .15 cents more per card to get faster processing times.

Because 35 cents is less than 50 cents, and some of those cards are going to sit in your port for years regardless of when they were processed.
At this point, I'm not sending anything to COMC because I would rather they get caught up on all of the processing and shipping. |

And when they miss the deadline for the guaranteed 3 week you get a discount anyway

I too am in a shipping debacle with COMC.
Status: Shipment request successfully completed Tracking: Not Shipped Yet Date Requested: 8/7/2020 Estimated Ship Date: 11/9/2020 Actual Ship Date: Not Yet Estimated Delivery Date: 11/13/2020 I have already received a shipment from November but I need the cards in this one for a project I've been working on. It's been over 4 months and I'm starting to worry they have either lost my package or something is missing. 4 months? I understand they're backed up but how are they sending me current shipments with one outstanding for 4 months? Amazing website - I actually love COMC and would recommend to anyone. It's just really frustrating sometimes.

Here's an odd situation that I'd appreciate any insight from anyone with insight into eBay cross-listing process:
1) I'm looking at a card where there is one for sale on COMC, which is currently part of a sale. 2) The card is not cross-listed on eBay. 3) However, the same card clearly has been cross-listed on eBay in the recent past, because one sold from COMC (at a very good price) within the last month. I'm trying to work out how likely it is that, if I buy and reprice the card, the bot will cross-list it to eBay in the near future. Any insight (or even educated guesses) very welcome.

I would say it is likely that COMC will cross-post it to eBay. Once you buy it, you can mark it for sale and see if posts within a couple of days to eBay. If not, mark it not for sale for an hour and then price it again. Or it may just get randomly picked up. |

In my experience, they tend to cross-post newly submitted items, particularly if they were submitted at a higher level. A few years back, they increased the submission price by a nickel, and one of the justifications was that it helped to pay for cross-posting to eBay.
Beyond that, it's a bit of a crap shoot. They tend to go for things they think they can sell, so if this is a popular player, or popular set, and it recently sold for a "very good price", it seems likely that it has a high chance of being listed again. My understanding is that COMC gets a certain number of listings from eBay every month, and that sometimes eBay gives them more listings. This could be because of COMC's performance, or because someone at eBay wants more listings on the site in general. There's also a possibility the card could sell on the regular site. Many of COMC's eBay buyers have figured out that if they go to the main site and log in, they can get the same card for less money. Many sellers on COMC will "cash out" their COMC credit in the form of a higher dollar trophy card. |

I agree with the sentiment about buyers who are into cards but clearly don't use the COMC platform over buying COMC cards on eBay. BUT, looking just now, COMC lists 360,109 buyers, and although I can't decipher if that is current year, all-time or otherwise, that number is probably not even 10 percent of the collecting public. So there are likely a ton of people out there who buy COMC cards on eBay and never use COMC itself.
