If you can get the 3-card bundle for $5/card, it was never going to be much higher than that on eBay while the window is still open.

I ask him but they have been selling Now cards that low for the last year and they still have money so I suppose they are doing ok.

But why not do 5 cards a week. In 1 year the set is complete

Move to 1954 .. might have to do 6 cards a week if say 54 set is 300 cards

Seems so simple

Concerns of a great idea for down road

Concerns now. Get price fixed..

Concerns in week. Topps don’t you dare ship me 3 cards banging around in a way to big snap box.

Did they say they would be moving on to a 1954 design? Personally... I'd prefer every card keep the same design. 1953 the the life of the set.

It is 53 for life...they told us that last week in NY.

This made me wonder if we're getting a new box for shipping, or will they throw these in TN or Topps On-Demand boxes?

53 for the life of the set...not sure if their will be more or less each week but you have an artist working on these and I only seen about 14 completed. So that could be why...
Price is not going to change...might go up in the future

My concern is about future years of this product.
This year Judge, Trout, Harper, Bryant, Ichiro, Ohtani, etc...
Unless a player changes teams - so maybe Harper again next year - we could get down to not super desirable (from a collectors perspective) players in later years - except for rookies - but those cards will then have a larger than normal print run.
Will there be any value in random player X? Will people care about trying to build the set in 2 years?

I'd want top loaders and penny sleeves with a team bag taped tight over the end, just like I ship my cards. But these are going to be coming in Topps Now boxes I bet.

probably be one star or hot player and a couple of Joe Panik types each week

Agreed, but that's still 52 top players in a year.
This hobby isn't that deep on the collector side, is it? ... 1-2 players per team maybe depending on the team.
I guess if they start including HOFers they can slow it down a bit too.

no way, the '53 set is beautiful. Heritage did a horrible job with it in 2002

It will be something to see. I think that the random player will only sell a few but then that one will be more valuable to the set builders of the future. (Of course that is all an IF). Maybe if they get most of the awesome players in there they don't even do a player every week...or they do just one. I want a Cameron Rupp!

This idea works well for me. It may be expensive, but it's a concept that brings some of the original appeal of getting into this stuff to begin with some 35 years ago. And, as I mentioned earlier, having an interesting set to pass on to my nephew some day sounds cool as well.

If they get 500 I'd be surprised. Mid 200's but Judge, and easy 3K (still won't be enough to meet the later years demands I am betting)

Dang I love that Judge. I'm not familiar with SmartPost, is that just free regular shipping? Anyone ordering 20+ that can put me down for 1 cheaper? (EDIT: Just saw they are on eBay I'll probably just get one there so it's easier to track)

I feel like they could've done a little better than Panik/Castellanos to hype this up for the premiere lol. Don't see myself getting too into this but would definitely pick up PC guys for $4-$5 a pop.
