That took a while as he’s seeing less pitches to mash.

He’s definitely getting pitched around as of late. I can’t blame opposing teams so the Mariners need to counter. Good to see Randy have a great game, need more consistency from the rest of the lineup

Unfortunately, pitchers don't seem to be approaching him like he scares them.

30 years ago, another up-the-middle player had an out-of-the-blue great season:
First 86 games: 1996 -- Brady Anderson: .288/.398/.652, 31 HR, 403 PA 2025 -- Cal Raleigh: .271/.379/.648, 35 HR, 380 PA |

While I don’t expect Raleigh to pump out 50 homer seasons, this didn’t exactly come out of nowhere being a bonafide slugger. The dude hit 34 last year and 30 the year prior. 27 in true Rookie season, people/power improves. Brady hit 16 & 12 the two seasons prior to his explosion. Keep your dumbass narratives. |

Brady Anderson didn’t even have a shovel compared to this dumper.

Not even remotely the same thing. Anderson had 72 HRs in 945 games before that season. Raleigh has averaged 30+ per year since his rookie season.

While it's true that he's consistently displayed 30+ home run power the last three seasons -- unlike Brady Anderson, prior to his 50-home-run season in 1996 -- that wasn't my point. Cal is having a breakout MVP-caliber season, similar to Brady in 1996, without previously showing that level of production: Brady Anderson: 1992: 5.3 fWAR; 130 OPS+ 1993: 2.9 fWAR; 108 OPS+ 1994: 3.0 fWAR; 96 OPS+ 1995: 2.9 fWAR; 110 OPS+ Averages (1992-1995): 3.5 fWAR; 112 OPS+ 1996: 6.9 fWAR; 156 OPS+ Cal Raleigh: 2022: 4.2 fWAR; 122 OPS+ 2023: 4.4 fWAR; 114 OPS+ 2024: 5.4 fWAR; 119 OPS+ Averages (2022-2024): 4.6 fWAR; 118 OPS+ 2025 (on pace): 10.3 fWAR |

Lots of Aaron Judge bag holders out there that feel threatened.

Cal is younger and had already set a high floor in his first kinda-full season. He has displayed the typical progression you would expect from a future star and his breakout was imminent. It's shocking that his platinum glove didn't even get him into the ASG last year but barring a major injury he appears to be on track to be a perennial AS who will garner MVP consideration almost every year. By the time Cal's career is over, he won't ever be compared to Brady Anderson. |

What a silly comment. Judge is as liquid as gold right now and has been for awhile. Nobody is holding any bag of Judge unless they are choosing to. As a dealer I can't even keep him in stock. The moment I put him for sale, it's gone.

For sure. Absolutely silly. Just merely bringing up the point that there’s a lot of money in Judge, many collectors who have bought him this year, with the expectation that he will walk away with another MVP. And they are quick to poo-poo the pride of the Mariners because he is a threat, a legitimate threat, to that.
