Lol I didn't think you could end up being a bigger fool, but somehow you've gone and done it. Enjoy that flashback challenge, but watch out for that 5%...I mean 10% fee their charging.

I like how the TS fanboi klub act as if people critical of TS aren’t also critical of Panini. They both suck right now and I don’t see a long term path to mainstream growth to either of them.

Speaking of fanbois, show me where your better half is critical of Panini, he's shilling for them lol. No mention of the fees they charge, no mention of not being able to sell cards off their platform, all of a sudden he's ok with all of that lol. Funny how that works.

Not sure who you're talking to, but hilarious seeing the tumbleweeds in this very thread. The fact that they aren't doing any Olympics gifs is very telling...can't use their media license on this one!

Rifle has been critical of Panini and their fee structure too, you might just be choosing to ignore those posts.

"The people"? What is the people? How is it a terrible take and how have "they" been made to look like fools so far?

I have lots of friends who were early into crypto and TopShot, made lots of money and they have all jumped ship on TopShot.

You pretty much cannot find a single person out there now, at least I didn't think, that didn't see TopShot as a sinking ship. There are countless articles written about it tanking. On Twitter, Twitch, anywhere you go to the first thing brought up when bringing up TopShot now is the fact that things aren't what they used to be and that there may be reason for concern, even from the strongest of backers.

Not sure what is going on here in this thread with you and the other guys as I have not read all of your posts but it sounds like you're the last remaining Pokemon Go player who still thinks its summer release. I'm sure Dapper will still rake in the money they need and some will still do well, but the ship has sailed.

It's funny that you say it is a terrible take yet in the next post you say that prices are "dropping nicely". Not sure what's going on here but where I'm from this is called ignorance.

::Sigh::

1. Its the off-season
2. Its stabilizing like every other collectible on this website
3. Panini NFT isn't going to replace NBA TopShot, its not even close. To Panini it's just a side hustle. They are promising to fix a search function while TS was upgrading equipment and overhauling the queue system.
4. Its the off-season, cardboard is the same way.

Thanks for the novel..

If you don't understand that the offseason brings down prices in sports collectables and NFTs than I'm not gonna waste.my time explaining it..

Of course many early adopters are gone. They loved the money but they clearly aren't NBA fans. I would have sold up for large profit also. I'll hang around because I enjoy it..

No idea why crypto was mentioned. Baffling.

So you're basically saying it's done? Sweet. See ya later pal.

Crypto and Top Shot have always been mentioned together. The Top Shot fanbois did that to start. They said that the success of Top Shot and NFTs in general were tied to the success of crypto.

Also, the wind down and deflating of the bubble started to happen way before other collectibles. Top Shot produced way too many moments, way too fast. The popped their own bubble.

Topshot Marketcap (via flowmarketcap):

Feb 23rd (Peak): 1.969 Billion
March 23rd: 1.263 Billion
April 23rd: 857 million
May 23rd: 670 million
June 23rd: 574 million
July 23rd: 479 million

Majority of the plummet came far before playoffs even started. Over this time, also consider how many packs and moments have been added to the marketplace.

All the while, early adopters were telling all the new people to buy series 1 because that was "safe." In reality, they created a whole new group of bagholders

Series 1 Lebron lowest sale (via Momentranks):

Feb 23rd (Peak): ~$7,000
March 23rd: ~$3,000
April 23rd: ~$1,800
May 23rd: ~$1,200
June 23rd: ~$900
July 23rd: ~$700

Most people that are still active keep touting that they don't care about losing money because they're "collectors." Talk about drinking the kool-aid... Topshot has killed any REAL collectability with the arbitrary moments used in challenges and collector score weighting.

This makes more sense as a pay to play mobile game at this point than any resemblance of NFTs or collectibles.

Ridiculous... I'm starting to think new collectors are fewer and father in between. They're doing everything they can to stop the bleeding of early adopter money at this point.

Why would anyone new want to get involved in Top Shot? You're starting so far behind, it's not even close to a level playing field with the whole collector score thing. Why not make it a 500 collector score for joining in on pack drops, that way everyone has a fair chance. Like you said it's beyond ridiculous what they've done recently with the eligibility.

No reason for this to be implemented for a common pack. Was looking forward to attempt to purchase one of these. This is a terrible decision by TS.
