My 2 Topps hobby boxes have been stuck in PA all week, no idea what’s going on. Guess I’ll have to be patient

Mine are stuck in the exact same place! And we're both Texas.

My first two biggies arrived today. Cue the sad trombone. That Bart especially looked sharp in the photo, but zero chance it's a 10 and slim that it's a 9.

I can't tell if this was sarcasm or if you were serious? That Mountcastle has better centering than most cards I've seen from this set, yes I see its bottom heavy. I'd be very happy with it personally, I've pulled some 70/30 cards myself.

Also, the 86 Freeman Gold Auto I pulled is a misprint 17/25 despite the checklist showing #/50 for gold parallels.

Just from quickly browsing ebay, this seems to be a not-so-uncommon occurrence right now with gold and red autos. How common are these misprints year to year and series to series? And how much does it affect the value?

What makes you think it is a misprint? Is it possible that maybe... and hear me out... they only made 25 of this specific gold auto?

The fact that every single checklist shows the gold parallels for the 1986 auto series as #/50.

I'm sorry, it is certainly possible that Topps did things differently for THIS one specific card and there is no data on that anywhere.

My typical pattern of reasoning is usually not to infer the least likely scenario given the information at hand, so my bad for that.

The checklist will usually say /50 (or less), /25 (or less), etc.

To answer your question, it is not a misprint and it is extremely common. Usually the all-stars and hall of famers will have lower print runs than the rest of the players in the sets.

Thank you for actually providing a thoughtful response.

Is there somewhere this information is a bit more fleshed out? Or is it just understood? I've dug around a little and nothing is really that clear or informative about this type of situation.

Agree that most of the ice cards seem very off-centered. However, I was fortunate to get a Mountcastle RC that wasn’t too bad...

How's the inventory situation on these? Are people still clearing the shelves?

I just got my two blasters direct from Topps (all I was able to order) and got zero foil or gold or color of any kind. They must have printed the ever-loving crap out of these, lol.

If it's still that big in 4 hours, you should call your doctor.

Got this tonight but the corners were all messed up, I hate that they make the damn packs so big and bulky so the cards can move around (pulled from a jumbo hobby)

A jumbo, two hobby boxes, nine blasters, and five hangers later... I finally hit a rookie foil/parallel.
