I think this is the most important season for the platform.
If they don't handle things well, this platform is officially done. The roadmap that will be released on Monday should give us a good indication.

I'd just like to put that money into better moments though. Like NFL AD debuts or a like a Zion/Ja/Bron debut etc.
I think those are the only type of moments on both sites that are safe from having drastic price drops.

Learned a long time ago. TS Roadmaps are false hopes TS always changes directions during the trip and ends up on the road to disaster ..

I noticed someone posted a thread on Sorare on the Top Shot reddit. Next day I go back to see the replies and they deleted the thread.

So Top Shot is definitely worried about them. I wonder why their mod team would delete that post.

Because it's direct competition and it's a much better product. When Sorare announced they got the MLB license, (Candy) felt the need to put out an official press release explaining why Sorare's baseball launch wouldn't affect their product

Can't hate on Opie. Judging by his twitter, he still appears quite active on the platform and is vocally critical of the management. Didn't seem like a pump and go venture on his part. If people got in when he first posted, they could have made out quite handsomely. Probably stopped posting when the lid blew off because he knew he'd catch the pitchforks.

At the end of the day, playing the NFT game was like prospecting college talents. You're going to find one or two long term winners if you're extremely lucky. Important part is to know when to get out with profit, or when to cut your losses.

What I have seen that is wrong with this platform is. Over and over again the whales kept on getting taken care of. I do not think other platforms do this, just so everyone has a fair shake. One thing clear about TS is that if you got in at the beginning and closed beta you succeeded. Everyone after wards just had to catch up.

That's kind of the NFT ecosystem in a nutshell, though. Pump and dumps, discords, and swag monkey avatars. Topshot was really no different, and attracted the same group of individuals. I made some decent money off of it and I considered myself late to the party. The rest of the stuff I've been holding since were a product of my own greed.

Crypto is a zero sum game. For every winner, there is a loser. Early bird gets the worm. There's ways to game the system if you put in enough time, but the opportunities are far and few between, especially since the crypto market, and global markets in general, are in a holding bear pattern. You're probably not going to get rich daytrade scalping Marvin Bagley rebounds in 2022.

I do think he was a shill aligned with the devs to help spread the word on social media and other platforms. But that doesn't automatically disqualify him from being a real believer/early clecter. There'd be no incentive for him to still be active and discussing the TS economy while simultaneously being outspoken against management if he wasn't truly interested in it.

He could very well still be a giant A Hole, as I'm surface level speculating. But it does appear he's been pretty outspoken against how TS has handled things as of late. Either way, it doesn't matter. The project is ded.

- anyways I think Libruary is actually a good guy. I've seen him be very critical of management many times. If people are upset he became a millionaire from this, I don't know what to tell you. He literally gave everybody the opportunity to get in REALLY early, and we all laughed at him.
