I agree I was a little salty when I had to buy at $105 a box for my cases. I’m used to like $900 cases. I feel like the hobby overall is volatile atm and it’s going to seep into hockey as well so I’m investing now. Like I can’t even buy into football and basketball if I wanted to, which luckily I don’t.

Not that I disagree, but I doubt that UD really cares, hockey heavily relies on a hyped rookie and with the vaccine on the horizon they had to bring it out now to get at least a bit of the pie.

Just opened a box (thankfully not a case) and just about all of my base cards are damaged. Corners and edges on most of them. Sad!

This is #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@. This happened to me with a hobby of topps update a few weeks ago. These pieces of paper are flying off the shelves and the companies don't give a damn.

No, only 3 of my 12 had issues. That’s still far too many.

Exactly how my whole case looked. Like I said the corners are perfect except for the rounding. Which leads me to believe they where cut this way.

So if it was just taking exclusives into account, it would be roughly 4x more.

Remember this year they added French exclusives.

This means the print run on hobby is roughly 8-10x normal. Holy cow.

In a typical year UD will list the odds for exclusives on box.
Usually 1:48 packs.

Mcdavid/Matthews they never did.
Lafreniere they never did either.

If you look at 19-20 series 2 hobby it is even less than 1:48

I would have bought 10 cases instead of 1 if they showed the odds.

That's not true at all, unless you're going back multiple years. It seems like each case I've seen this year have 2 or 3 Exclusives/High Gloss. This is right in line with last year. If you don't believe me, just go back to youtube and watch 12-box case break recaps.
