MLB Network is reporting the Padres are out.
What are the chances he picks the Blue Jays over the Dodgers?

The only thing that gives me hope as a Jays fan is that he wants to be in a smaller market. Toronto offers him less of a spotlight than LA does, but I'll be completely surprised if he picks Toronto (and our dental situation up here).

If he picks Toronto I'll be shocked. It all screams that they agreed to all come over and play together. Why not just wait a year and get a 9 figure deal? There's only two ways to fix this. Either make it an international draft like other sports or if you go over the luxury tax thresholds you get no intl money.

He’ll end up in LA either now, or eventually for his contract. It’s inevitable.

Just give your damn rose to the freaking Dodgers already, everyone knew this was coming months ago and you’re just dragging it out for unnecessary drama

Why would Toronto literally do this trade 12 minutes ago then?

I really thought, and hoped it would be the Padres (if not the Red Sox).
I hate that the Dodgers are becoming a more likable* Evil Empire 2.0 (*100% understand Giants and Padres fans will never think the Dodgers are likable)

Regardless, it will be pretty incredible to see this team play. Imagine if they're mostly healthy in like June or July when everyone is ramped up.

It does remind me of this gem from The Onion from over 20 years ago ...

Its the mlb version of the showtime lakers. Granted they have a lot of injury prone players especially the pitchers, but its basically a traveling all star team

The only chance the rest of the teams in MLB have of signing foreign talent (other than DR) is if Europe or Africa start producing high end baseball talent.

They really should just have an international draft its silly that the nba can do it, but mlb has this byzantine system of pool amounts.

Maybe the other teams should aspire to be as good of an organization as the Dodgers are if they want to attract international free agent talent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Am I happy about what the Dodgers are doing, I mean not particularly, but all this bellyaching to me just reads as people upset that their team didn't/won't get Sasaki, especially those complaining about this "extended drama"
