Am I clueless or is there really no way to sort by card number in the Inventory Manager?

Do you mean card number or item number?

- If you mean card number you can put the set name into search and Oldest on top.
- If you mean Item number, I don't think so. However, if you submitted most to all of your inventory then Acquired Long Ago on top would be a pretty decent proxy. Less useful if you flip cards in quantity or have a lot of cards waiting to be sent home.

I meant card number. I never would've suspected sorting by Oldest would sort by card number. I've been frustrated by this for years. Thank you so much for saving me a ton of time trying to organize cards for shipment.

You can sort by item number with the Bulk Repricing Tool, if you can get the Bulk Repricing Tool to work.

You can sort items you submitted by item number in inventory manager by filtering "Originally Owned" and sorting by "Acquired Long Ago".

Items you purchased, you can download the purchase history and sort the download by item number. You can also sort items sold the same way. Unfortunately, this doesn't tell you which items are currently active.

And on the latest episode of "Does COMC process puzzle sketches" (smh)...

After I just got done sending in an elite submission with my 4-card 2017 Fleer Ultra Spiderman puzzle sketch via USPS today, I mentioned to COMC in an email I was sending it in (since I got the ok), and contained the 4 pieces in one teambag with an attached note on it.

Their response: They have to process them separately, and cannot list multiple individual items as a single item. (Direct opposite of what they just said).

The chain again (this is all in the same chain of emails):

-I ask COMC if they accept puzzle sketches as 1 unit or will they process separately
-COMC responds they do not process as 1 unit
-I replied that I've seen the opposite on COMC, and searching 'puzzle sketch' reveals several puzzle sketches actively listed
-COMC responds they were mistaken earlier and that they indeed DO process puzzle sketches as 1 unit
-I said ok, I sent mine in with an elite submission
-COMC responds they dont process puzzle sketches as 1 unit.

So I wonder what'll happen when this puzzle sketch gets there...stay tuned

Edit: looks like the confusion was due to different people on COMC's customer service team responding. I just now got an email that followed up the latest one and said indeed puzzle sketches have the ok to be processed as 1-unit. We shall see I guess...still depends on whether the processing team is on same page as customer service.

This may be a silly question but can I send sports and non sports cards in the same submission? I have some marvel platinum and a random walking dead relic I want to send in but I was worried they would have to go separate from the sports cards.

I certainly hope you can, since I sent one of these in just a few days ago. Marvel cards and 90s baseball cards in same submission.

But yea I think you can, no problem. Both marvel and sports regular cards will fall under the raw trading card category. Right now COMC is actually doing a % off submission cost for select and elite marvel (or nonsports) submissions, not a bad time to submit the Marvel Platinum.

I'd make sure to include a note with the cards to process the puzzle as 1 unit.

Yep I did this- big note on the team bag saying this is a 1-unit puzzle and that I talked to **** at COMC customer service and was told COMC does process puzzle sketches as 1-unit.

Worst comes to worst, they process separately and Im out whatever that would be for 4-elite cards submitted, I guess 4x2= $8. But I also took on risk to ship a $500-750 sketch to them for nothing if that's the case. All due to COMC customer service telling me the wrong thing, which would be kind of annoying.
If it ends up being processed as separate units, Im going to contact them again and see if I can submit a correction request.

Yes. This is no problem. The only thing to separate on your end is items which are going in different levels of service. So, if you have a batch of cards which are for 2 week processing and a batch of cards which are for 16 week processing, and another batch of cards which are "Fresh Pulls", then keep those separate. But sports / non-sports / gaming / vintage / auto / memorabilia mixed together in the same batch is fine.

It's possible on their end that they will sort by some sort of attribute which makes sense to them, give them to different people to identify, and that they will hit your account in clumps. For example, one day you might get a bunch of memorabilia cards added to your account. Then a few weeks later a bunch of vintage non-sports are added to your account. But that's their thing and you don't have to worry about it.

When submitting cards, I usually put 3 white card boxes into a Flat Rate Priority box, envelope them with plenty of packing material and ship. If it has significant value, I'll send it Registered and insured.

Generally, three 550 count boxes will fit reasonably well in a Medium Flat Rate Box.

It's best not to stuff the 550 count boxes with cards. Leave a bit of a gap and then stuff the gap with something like a paper towel with a bit sticking out, so they can pull the filler out before removing the cards.

There have been complaints in the past of corners getting dinged. I believe that double boxing the submissions, keeping the cards immobile, yet also easy to remove will help with reducing this from happening.

Yeah, the search function is not working correctly at all today. Either no results shown, or if there are results and you sort the results by a different method they all disappear.

Site must have a bug currently.

Now it seems that search works, but I can’t seem to purchase anything. I love this website, maybe that’s how they’ll get ahead of their shipping backlog, just don’t let anyone purchase anything for a few weeks lol.

I used to be on COMC, but has been years since I've signed in/bought.

How does shipping back to me work?

How long is it taking to process/ship back these days?

cost?

thanks for the help.

The default answer is that every raw card submitted under basic would cost 25 cents to add to your order, anything graded or premium is $1, and anything oversized is 45 cents to $1 each. Then add the basic $4.99 shipping and an additional $4 if the overall value is over $500 or whatever their limit is to send via signature confirmation.
That will get you the cheapest/slowest combination. If you want it ASAP, double the cost.

thanks, I appreciate it.

so if I buy 500, $1 cards - 500 x .25 = $125 + $4.99 - $129.99 to ship to me.

how long do you think to ship the order? three weeks?

do they ever have shipping specials or reduced fee per card to ship?

Question for the COMC submission veterans-

Is it normal to have a package delivered to COMC, and nothing received in terms of email on the same day saying they got it, and no update on the processing status? Does that take a few days?

I sent in a high dollar package and now a bit concerned since it was delivered and I got no recipient email saying they received it the same day. I also had several groups (submissions for standard, select, and elite all in the same package, separated) and hope I did that ok. Thanks for any insight

If your are in Simplified Shipping Mode, the shipping per cardis included in the price of the cards, so just add the $.99 for packaging. (it is a matter of preference of how you want to buy). In Advance Buying Mode, you pay the shipping when you want to ship.

My recent shipment took 3 months. I didn't pay for any premium shipping services. They gave me a $5 coupon for the late shipping.

Maybe once a year they will have a shipping offer during one of the major sales events (usually Black Friday, I think), but it isn't guarenteed they will have a shipping offer.

Oh, you mean for new purchases? I thought you meant you had cards in your inventory that you wanted to mail home that you originally submitted. Most likely you're already paying the extra quarter, and as said, you'd only owe the $4.99 or $8.99 per shipment unless you wanted to pay for expedited packaging.

Shipping for basic rate is sometimes months, but I think they're close to normal now after being swamped after Black Friday 2023 when their shipping team was overloaded and then got hit by a rash of COVID, delaying shipments even further.

During Spring Cleaning or Black Friday sales, they sometimes offer "free shipping" which reimburses the $4.99 basic charge.

This is perfectly normal. With as many packages as they receive daily, it can take up to a week for them to acknowledge receipt and for your submissions to hit your dashboard. It is even worse just after major shows they attend, like the National.

Oh wow didn’t know that, thanks. This is only my 2nd submission and with my first I got the recipient email and batch number same day package arrived, so this is good to know. Have some high end cards in this one so of course all worried about it.

I take it the turnaround times like 2 weeks for select are from when you get the batch number assigned, not when the package actually gets there.

I redeemed store credit for blowout cards gift certificate last week and have heard nothing 6 days later. I checked my spam folder and saw nothing there either.

Is this a normal turnaround time or should I be reaching out to them?
