Default COMC misses processing due date

Is it normal for COMC to miss their processing due date? This is only the 2nd batch I've submitted and there are still about 10-15 cards that haven't been processed.

I'm just wondering if their is any concession on their end for missing the date? Otherwise it might be better for them to label it as "projected" or "suggested."

They use to give you half off the processing fee when they miss the date. https://blog.comc.com/2014/05/09/a-p...ocessing-fees/ only applies to the cards that are late not entire batch, not sure if that's still the case since they've been on time for my last few submissions.

If they miss the deadline, the submission fee is waived on the remaining cards.

Another scenario is if you put in an approximate count, the 10-15 count may be off from what was sent and you will receive an email that all cards have been process and the 10-15 number will disappear.

I had them miss my date on one card a few weeks back - processing fee was half price on that card.

Did you have any items that were damaged/unsupported? You need to account for those as well - they are the first thing you usually get when you have a submission being processed and you get the reject photo.

Did they actually miss it? I ask because the submission status numbers are estimates based on what you gave when you did the original submission form. The status also lags behind real time so maybe they processed everything but the status just hasn't updated yet.

Answer to the question though, no, it doesn't happen a lot. I've never had them miss one for me and I've submitted 40k + cards. They did drop one literally at the last minute once though, it pissed me off. Not because it took so long but because I was hoping for the 1/2 off and I missed it by a matter of seconds. It was when they did submission drops all as one batch and it went live at like 11:59, dag nabbit, would have saved hundreds of dollars.

I think they missed a few cards once in one of my submissions and those few cards were 1/2 the processing fee. No big deal for me either way

Don't be surprised if they end up damaged.

That happens at the beginning of the process now - not at the end. They go through the batch and pull anything that they will not process out of the batch.

They are probably overwhelmed with shipping out cards for ebay, so they could be a little behind on other stuff.

Not sure if this might be related, but I just submitted a batch of 2225 card. When COMC received them, they entered 1800 for the amount. I complained to their customer service that I was concerned about the "missing" 425 cards. The reply I got back was that COMC did their own estimation is the card count (I replied that I had counted the cards myself and 2225 should be used as the total). Makes me wonder if a lower amount of card entered might be their way of not having to waive submission fees if cards are processed after deadline.

I've had my estimates be off on a number of batches. They will actually fluctuate throughout the process as well. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the number during processing. Upon completion, my numbers have always matched up.

Still, it is just annoying spending the time to count the cards, and COMC just makes up their own number.

Maybe too many cosigners guessing at their card counts and COMC feels the need to adjust.

I'm not sure why they do it, to be honest. I count the stuff on my end for my own record keeping. I also started to send multiple smaller batches in the same shipment, again, mostly for my own record keeping.

I would think having a count on their end that was accurate would be helpful to both parties.

Haven't heard much on this since the transition from Beckett. Though the EBay deal is solid, they need to continue to focus on meeting their own terms

While I don't disagree with this, I am having my 3rd best month ever and I'm within easy striking distance of making it the 1st. They need to fix communication, lower fees and speed up shipping but as long as sales are on fire, I'm willing to be a bit less critical.

Not a good sign.

Appears the company wants to bring in more money while their customer service on both ends suffers massively.

For July I had my 2nd best month ever. ebay was the biggest percentage of sales.

In January, my best month, I had 2 buyers go wild in a single day, which was about half of that month's total. So not counting that single day, July would be my best month.

Good to hear you had a great month. I'm still new to comc only done 2 submissions a few grand on the site. So customer service still matters to me as it should to all of us. If a company states they will have a item listed in 4 days they should make well on their promise. If they can't at least respond to your customers

They're open but management is probably attending the nationals so the staff are probably playing hooky.

I'm continually sending in cards, so my sales increase in expected.

ebay has definitely helped.

I sent 3 emails yesterday and they responded to them all today so they are there today. They are also apparently way behind on everything. Had 4 cards for condition review that were supposed to be done Monday and they said it will be a few more days still...
