Random awesomeness. 03-04 finest unopened box in my closet

So I was cleaning up some of my cards and I had a lot of boxes of cards that had been opened and I just left the Commons in the boxes thinking I would just give them away. Well they just kept accumulating so I decided today to clean them up. To my shock, amazement, and to some extent horror I found an unopened box of 03-04 finest. Holy s-balls. It took some time of contemplating whether to just sell the box or open it and finally, since the cellophane was ripped off I decided to open it.

No Lebron. But super fun and exciting rip anyway

That is awesome, such a fun box and some decent pulls you had there. I don't think Topps does anything about expired redemptions

Apparently with the new redemption site they now honor expired redemptions. There is no guarantee that they still have the card, this is what others have told me over past few weeks that were able to redeem expired redemptions.

what? are you kidding me?

topps has NEVER honored or done anything at all about expired redemptions... this is news to me......

Thanks. It was fun and I thought they were decent pulls. I would have been upset if I had paid what the box would sell for today but since I probably didn't pay much more than 60 or 70ish when it was live product I don't feel bad.

This is a mail in card no scratch off. So.I doubt an online system is going to do anything. Maybe I'll mail it in and just see what happens. Only costs 50 cents and who knows.

nah man, don't mail it. you'd be wasting .50 believe me.

topps does nothing at all about expired redemptions. i sent around 30 topps finest rookie redemptions from i believe 2005 in (this was back in like 08 though) and they sent them all back to me with "EXPIRED" stamped on each of them.

as far as i know, topps never does anything about expired redemptions

Normally, I play the "if it doesn't mention redemptions are in the box that may expire" card, but it's basketball and Topps doesn't have that license so it would definately be a waste of time.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what happened exactly. I just used to leave all of my base and commons in the boxes they came in just figuring I would find some kid to give them to. I must have gotten interrupted in the middle of breaking and put them in my pile of common boxes and spaced that I hadn't opened them, yet. I wish the cellophane hadn't been ripped off already cuz those boxes are going for like 500+ now.
