Indy's Weekly Hot, Cool and Collected Comic Picks for this week!
Hillbilly #1 and #2 2nd prints will be hot. Harley Quinn And Her Gang Of Harleys #6 Frank Cho Variant - This one is a coin toss for me as I'm not a huge fan on this particular story. Cannibal #1 - New Image series dealing with the denizens of a small Everglades town desperately trying to hold onto their everyday lives at the dawn of a cannibal pandemic. Green Valley #1 - Another new Image series, this one could be a sleeper. The knights of Kelodia are the finest in the land, but they've never faced a power like the one that resides in the Green Valley. MAX LANDIS (Chronicle, American Ultra, Superman: American Alien) and GIUSEPPE CAMUNCOLI (Amazing Spider-Man) welcome you to the world of Green Valley, where nothing is ever what it seems. MOONSHINE #1 Frank Miller Variant - Yet another new Image series launching this week. I can see the Frank Miller variant doing well, it's his best in years IMHO! Walking Dead #159 - THE WHISPERER WAR,' Part Three The war rages on. It's been a great read so far and something you might want to look into picking up. Amazing Spider-Man #19 - Someone's going to die. Alex Ross cover, worth checking out. Cage #1 - Multiple variants, Netflix show around the corner, worthy of a look. Champions #1 - New Teen Team of Superheros assembled for this launch. I like the Ghost Rider action figure variant, it's got cross over appeal with the TV audience of SHIELD. There is also two Campbell variants, the regular and a new Monochromatic variant or if you really want to drop a boatload of cash, you can snag the stellar Alex Ross variant. HEADS UP PLAY Deadpool Back in Black #1 Lim variant was not solicited in time for retailers to order many of, which will make it one of the rarer variants and may dry up fast. Just a heads up as I can see this one selling out quickly online. HEAVY WEEK!! Other books to consider: Jessica Jones #1 & Enchanted Tiki Room Variants (Might resell well) SLEEPER PICK!! - GREEN VALLEY #1 I've been able to read some advance pages from this book and was hilarious. I can see this book doing very well if it continues down this path. A lot of people may overlook it with such a heavy week, and it is a mini (9 issues) for now, but as others have stated below, it's Max Landis and he's got a cult following.. Book may do very well over time, or heck, may sell out initially, hard to predict this stuff, but definitely put it on your radar. NOTE: If you want one graded, PM me, I have plenty coming in ![]() Keeping checking this thread throughout the week for additional picks, news and comic views........

I agree Indy! I'm only continuing this one for the run. Will snag TWD, Deadpool Back in Black, Hillbilly reprints (if available) and possibly Moonshine.

Definitely a heavy week. I'd been outta the loop for a few but just picked up TWD connecting cover, Disney Kingdom's Tiki, Deadpool Back in Black, Moonshine, Cage/Jessica hip-hop variants, and the other two Image titles you mentioned.
And also a few copies of the Kylo Ren JTC on pre-order today..heavy day for sure! |

Bummed I missed out on that Deadpool Back in Black Kirkham variant. That cover is SWEET! If anybody snagged an extra they'd like to sell/trade, let me know.
Thanks for the list as always, Indy.

Nothing about Black entices me, from the concept which was done a few months ago, to it being Black Mask which seems to be all about Convention exclusives right now and NOT getting issues out in a timely manner. I find it hard to build excitement for them right now, but who knows, perhaps it'll break out.

It would appear to me that Jim Thompson's Killer Inside Me is a hit with comic fans. In looking over at Midtowncomics online, both covers for #2 are sold out. It's being published this Wednesday, so you might be able to flip it for a few bucks, or if reading it, go for it early at the shops.

What are your thoughts about mini series? They don't seem to have as high of a value. |

Only if picked up to make a movie/TV series will it see extended value, but it's got Kirkman behind it (Skybound/IMage), and Max Landis writing, could have long term potential.
