I feel like the seller is shilling on an auction I'm bidding on. Is there a way to see who the person winning it is and what their bid history is with the seller. Thanks for any help.

No way to see the actual ID, or an accurate history like they used to show. Post the listing and most can get a better picture.

Damn. I want to but they had a bit of a terrible listing I stumbled upon. Part of why I think it is a shill.

Don't bid (again). Plain and simple. It is awfully difficult to prove that an auction was shilled, however unless the card is a 1/1, there will be others.. It sucks, but you have to move on.

You can click on the bids page, and then click on the username that looks like d****2 for the bidder you're worried about. It will bring up a page like this:
Bidding Details You can then see the bids they've made in the past month. eBay is trying its best to hide things like this from us. I remember the "good old days" when every bidder's full username was visible on every bid they made. Of course that had some other negatives, because then could identify the people bidding against them and either message them to stand down or find the "hidden gems" that they found and put bids in on so they didn't have to search as well. That was back before snipe programs as well. |
