Default Philly Card Show... should I go?

https://phillyshow.com

Should I go? It's about an hour away from me, but I've never been to a show before.

Is this considered a good show? Would there be any deals there or would it be cheaper to get boxes online at Blowout and cards on the forums? Should I bring stuff to trade/sell... what should I expect?

Thanks!!!!!!! ANYONE ELSE GOING???

If youve never been to a show, then go.. Youll love it.

Bring some trade bait, or sell bait if you want.. I never have much luck myself because alot of dealers need to purchase at 30-60% so they can flip and make a living. Sometimes, thats just not good enough considering my own investment.

Youll still be able to meet, and talk with other like minded people, perhaps make some contacts, friends, trade partners, and the like.

I just checked that site, and there looks like theres going to be about 70 or more dealers, so that's a big place.

Plus Vince Papale and Jack Lambert are gonna be there signing autos!!!

It's a great show, we set up every time. Lots of dealers and lots of new and old singles.

Just Go! and have fun ... I bring some stuff to shows but don't have much luck with trading .... dealers always want rock bottom trade value for their usually high priced cards .... plus you can negotiate better deals with good old cash!

They run it 3 times a year. I am about an hour away, I live in Allentown, PA, and I go to every show. Sometimes I find some stuff to buy, other times I don't. I just enjoy going and walking around for a couple of hours. Definitely would recommend checking it out!

Oh its this weekend! Totally forgot about it.

I've probably been to at least 10 Philly Shows.

Last time I went I was looking to spend $1,000 on one card. Needless to say I still have the cash.

The high end dealers I talked to were pretty rude and not interested in dealing. Next time I go I'll stick with lower end cards for sure.

Never heard about these, and although I cant do ti this weekend, I will be looking to go to one in the near future. I only live about 2 hours away. If I dont get anything, I can still get a Cheese steak or 6 to cheer me up.
