Default Official NFL Playoffs, Week 1 thread

This should be a very entertaining Saturday.

These players work hard all season long and it could end in and instance.

I bet Ryno will be the first to post.

Lots of really crappy QB's going this weekend. Hopefully the games are still good.

Well the cooks vs the osweilers looks to be pretty boring. The Texans defense will score twice and win the game.

I actually think the Steelers dolphins game will be a shootout for 3 quarters with the Steelers defense getting a takeaway to put them up by 2 scores and win the game.

Yep, after the crummy Texans Raiders game, one of those bum QB's is gonna have more playoff wins than Andy Dalton..

I think Steelers cruise to easy win. Steelers go up early and dolphins never even challenge them

Meanwhile Mark Sanchez and and Colin kaepernick both have 4 playoff wins a piece .. only 8 other qbs in the league that are better or match that total.

The AFC playoffs are always weak, it always comes down to 2-3 teams, there are usually 2-3 BAD teams that you know have NO shot. This year its Miami, Houston and Oakland, each have NO shot to make the Super Bowl. None. You can tell me, "that's why games aren't played on paper, but in this QB driven league, there is no way a backup QB beats KC or Oakland.

Detroit up by 10 at halftime. Two bad calls by refs in second half lead to key points for Seahawks and Lions lose by 7.

Hell, the 2007 Giants beat a lot of nothing but bad teams. They bear 2 teams who had winning records, and ended hp beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Anything is possible. Anything.

Texans - Raiders QB the issue
Seahawks - Lions offense hasn't been great lately
Steelers - Dolphins D has been up and down
Packers - Eli will throw a couple of picks

It won't happen this year. The past couple seasons its been the top seeds making it, the game has progressed so much towards a passing/QB happy league you won't see many underdogs going the distance.

That's true, although Miami is going to try and replicate week 6 against the Steelers, and have Ajayi try and rush for 200yds, since RT will be out again.

Spot on. I would even use the same arguments.

Texans/Raiders is the biggest 'random' as the QB situation is so bad for both teams.

Up and down due to injuries. It is going to be tough not having Jones, Isa-Abdul, Maxwell, and Rambo in the secondary. Lippett and Thomas are our only prayer back there but they can't cover everyone. Add to that Kiko playing with a broken finger. I'm not going to cry about it though. Every time a big name was on the injury report this year I felt the season was over but somehow they got it done.

Ben will probably shred us apart but then again nobody expected the Dolphins blowout performance in week 5. If Wake and Suh light him up a few times and force a fumble or two the Dolphins have a chance.

Pittsburgh's secondary is awful. Matty Ice Lite should be able to shred them with the receivers Miami has.
