Default Help! My Zeke Gold Redemption is scratched!

Just got home from work and was super excited to finally see my Zeke Gold Prizm Auto and as soon as I open it I see the scratch! Am I screwed? How bad is this?

It is one long scratch right by his helmet there, everything else is the case but the scratch on card is clearly visible and clearly not that small!!

Do you think it's a scratch or something you can wipe down?

Why did you break the seal? How are they to know it was sent like that now?

My guess is they tell you to pound sand, that it is within normal printing parameters. Good luck though!

You were smart to take photos of the issue BEFORE you broke the seal.

You can upload imagery on your damaged card complaint. If you have the time I'd follow up the online submission with a phone call. I would be surprised though if they have an extra gold just hanging out. It's new enough that maybe they have the remake/reprint capability. GL

Breaking the seal may have cost you here. Not sure, but that's something I wouldn't have done.

Yeah Im pretty new to this and didnt really think about it before I broke the seal... I thought it was a blonde hair at first haha.... its definitely not a deep scratch but its still a minor flaw.... how much of the value do you guys think is lost?

There are many threads on here about people that figured out how to correct light scratches on Topps Chrome cards.

If you are really worried about it, and not afraid to try, I bet you can make it almost impossible to see.

Nothing wrong with a light buff job!

Hopefully they make it right, breaking it out of their case may make it a bit difficult but you do have a picture taken with the sealed case so it was obviously scratched from the beginning.

Which is exactly why I don't see any value in graded cards.
