Default "I found these cards in your box as I went to throw the packing peanuts away..."

My sister was over today and asked me if I had a box available to help her ship some paintings she made, anyway I still had the cardboard box that my 2017 Topps Series 1 hobby cases were shipped in back in February (I'm a slow cleaner ok?). I told her she could use that box as long as she didn't mind throwing away the packing peanuts still left in it, and she said "sure, no problem" and she went downstairs with the box.

A few minutes later she came back and said, "I found these cards in your box as I went to throw away the packing peanuts" and I look and see all these packs of baseball cards in an ultra pro penny sleeve box. Little did I know that buried under all the packing peanuts was 24 packs of the 1987 Topps Chrome Refractor silver packs that came with my 2017 Series 1 hobby cases.

I couldn't believe I was so oblivious to not have noticed those over the last three months! She literally could've dumped everything in the garbage and I wouldn't have every noticed. But boooooooy am I thankful she did.

8 packs in I had what is probably the best pull of my life!

Aaron Judge Black Auto 1/1!

Consider this my most dumb luck card story I'll ever have.

EDIT: Ok you gotta be f***ing kidding me! Just opened the last 12 packs and the last one contained this...

Mike Trout Gold Auto 25/25!

I don't deserve this!

I'm thinking your sister should get a commission if you sell. Nice card!

And to think, the black Judge auto would have been lost forever if your sister didn't look!

WOW! Mega amazing on both cards, but especially on the Judge... especially because if you had opened it back when you got the package, you likely would have sold it fairly cheap compared to now.

I'm going to be forced too, she has no clue about anything cards so I'm pretty shocked she gave it a second thought.

I thought the same thing. I hightly doubt I would've held onto it, my sister had perfect timing asking for a box lol.

Keep the Trout. Consider it a freebie. Sell the Judge now and split the money with your sister. 50/50. if she didn't look you wouldn't be getting the payday. It's the right thing to do.

I imagine if you opened the Judge in February you may have sold it for 10% of what it would go for right now.

Wow. I traded for a gold auto of Judge #/25 yesterday I'm watching one that ends in 2 hours that's at $345. That judge is about a 1k sticker auto right now.....at least.
