Default Carlos Correa is back n here to stay

With all the hype around all these 1-2 week wonders and seemingly flash in the pan type prospects. Many of whom will flame out. This kid is the truth and aside from Trout and Harper, he is imo the best (young) player in the game. Home run to start the game against the yanks. He's getting hot and fast. CC POWER baby.

Back? Where did he go? Did you not have confidence that he would perform well this season or what?

lol, can we just make this the official 2017 correa thread? Seems like every other up and coming player has one.

In any case, he was simply too talented to remain in his funk. And he's killing the ball the past month. More importantly, it's leading to team wins. 'Stros are rolling.

A lot of those doubles he's muscling out are going to translate into homers. Just like Machado last year compared to 2014. Both players I love to watch.

I wouldn't complain if his prices rose.

Also a super-nice dude. Just interviewed him a few hours ago about Aaron Judge, and he was very cool. Also, huge.

You hit the nail on the head. He was in a funk combined with a minor injury and now starting to round back into his top tier form. I enjoy watching CC play and don't get the opportunity to do so often. That's why this game against the yanks is awesome.

He is a big guy. Have a feeling by next year he'll be near-Machado size in terms of bulk.

And he's all over the commercials so he's already got the media appeal.

It's a fun time to be a baseball fan now...so much young talent across the board.

And hoping *crosses fingers* all these guys are doing it clean so we have some records taken down in a legitimate fashion.

Yep. It's funny, people consider his second year a sophomore slump, yet he still ended up with a 6.x war, up from 4.x his rookie year.

Would love to eventually see him get his K rate down a bit, but I can't complain with his overall play. A lot of his recent hits have been go-aheads or game winners...he's locked in.

Been watching his at bats a lot lately and something has clicked. I read him talking about how he needs to stop uncharacteristically chasing bad pitches - if people aren't going to give him pitches to hit, he needs to watch them was the main takeaway. Ever since that quote he's been going deep into counts and crushing the ball. Loving what I've been seeing and hope this new patient Correa lasts all season.

Nice lil single up the gut. The boy is locked in ATM. They just said he's batting over .400 last couple weeks. El Natural

maybe someday he will be better than his diminutive double play counterpart, but im thinking not...Altuve will be the hofer of these two.

You realize Altuve didn't come into form until his 4th year, right?

Correa is only 22 and already has a cumulative war over 10.

I'd say it's a bit premature to write him off for a HOF projection, to say the least.

If he stays healthy, by the time he reaches Altuve's age in 5 years he will have most likely crushed his stats.

Ok well. Before this thread got derailed by a select few individuals thinking it's illegal to make player devoted threads if you own their cards (which comprises probably 99 percent of the posts on this forum), thought this would be a nice bump.

He's managed to raise his average from .233 in April to an impressive .316. 7 homeruns in April. Had a feeling the power would eventually catch up as his exit velocity stats are amongst the elite.

Will be interesting to see how the MVP race pans out with Trout out for awhile and Mookie still in a mild funk, but the Stros are rolling in 1st place and Correa's a huge part of it. And he's on pace for his best year yet.

I'd have to say he's currently playing like the best shortstop in baseball.
