If the awards don't consider playoff performance, then don't wait till they are over to announce regular season awards

Hate the idea of this as well. It's so ridiculous that after watching Westbrook get bounced on April 25th we're now going to have an "Awards Show" to tell us he's winning the MVP on June 26th.

It's dumb.

Anything for money, I get it, but I hate that the NBA is going to this level.

Yeah, I don't see why they had to wait this long for it. They could have done it during the playoffs or maybe somewhere in the 2 week wait before the damn Finals started.

Hopefully next year they change it to an earlier date. They're getting a lot of negative responses for doing it so late.

Why would there be outrage if he lost? I want him to win, but it's not going to be a travesty if he didn't. Harden and Kawhi are just as deserving.
