Default Todays experiment

Living in Las Vegas is HOTT!

The past 2 months have been between 110-120 degrees

I've started taking photos of some PC cards in the sunlight, but only out with each card for as long as it takes to get the photo.

It got me thinking what short term sun damage can do in this extreme heat.
Let's find out!!!!!

As an experiment, I've decided to see the effects of the sun on different card stock today. I have left them in direct sunlight and will post a few pics.
Here's a pic right when I put them out. Look for updates.

1. Normal cardstock (1998 Topps Nick Van Excel.....upper left)

2. Shiny thin cardstock (Topps Kick Start insert Antawn Jamison...upper right)
Started with very minor bending

3. Thick glossy cardstock {think Flair} (1998 Topps Gold Label Shareef Abdur Rahim...bottom left) Also started with very minor bending

4. Finest thin glossy cardstock with peel (1997 Finest Grant Hill common....bottom right) also very slight bending

This should be cool. Do you have a cheap auto to toss out there also? I would be more than happy to PWE one if it means you woukd include it in your experiment.

i love this experiment. But you need to do it Upper Deck vs. Topps vs. Panini so we can all finally know for sure who makes the 'best card'.

Yeah, and the autograph thingy too...

Had to open the attachment just to make sure the experiment didn't involve cards that I would like to have for my PC (but that nobody puts for sell because they have a very low BV).

As you can see the Antawn Jamison curled up nicely......make a good bracelet for your girlfriend.

The van excel started to bend slightly, hill and shareef also continued down the road of bending.

This was after 2 hours.

I am attempting to flatten them and see what happens when I bake them on my dashboard of Jeep today.

Updates coming............

P.S. No bubble from finest peel or discoloration of any cards......YET!

From what I've read the discoloration of Finest/Chrome cards comes from humidity, more than light.
