First Case Break - 2017 Topps Chrome Hobby

I've been tempted to buy a case of something for a long time now but never actually bit the bullet. Always thought that if I did though, it'd be Topps Chrome. And with all the hype this year I finally got one.

Luckily I got this for around $800 because while I had a lot of fun opening it and I didn't get slaughtered, I didn't hit any Judge or Bellinger autos. I've had so much good luck this year already though that I can't really be upset haha.

Don't have a lot to say for once, so here's what I got:



Three variations, and a couple of nice names with the Bryant and Trout.



Nice Trout purple, nothing that special on the other names.



Ok, so I did hit some nice prizms with the Judge and Benintendi

Koufax is nice too, and can't complain about the Tyler Austin orange refractor. Was surprised this was my only base orange refractor in the case though.



No idea what the best auto here is haha.



A couple better auto names, I think?



If nothing else, at least most of my color autos were good players. Bregman and Benintendi blues!

I hit an extra Judge 87 insert too which was nice. The only cards I've put on ebay are the variations so far because I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with most of these things. After selling a Judge and Bellinger auto way early from Donruss this year, I think I need to do actual research on players instead of just trying to recoup money :P.

Will probably be buying another case of TC next year since it was so much fun. Not all cases are real winners, but I really don't think I did horribly. Thanks for the look!

Congrats on some nice variations. Overall though, I keep finding feeling like TC is a bit of a disappointment this year. The auto's are always hit or miss, but every case break I watch on youtube just seems like a lot of worthless base. I know my one box of TC was full of a bunch of trash. Either way, thanks for sharing.

Doubt I'm dumping that right now. I really like the way it looks as blue is my favorite color haha.

Heh, yeah. If you don't hit a Judge or Bellinger auto it's hard to recoup your money. Even with the blue Benintendi I'm taking a loss I think, and that's a nice hit! But it's good to show people what a more normal case looks like in the midst of all the big ones haha.

I'm heading out of town for the weekend but I saw you posted about that in another thread and already was going to message you about those when I get back .
