Default No recourse? Should I just cancel this eBay transaction?

Selling a card with Best Offer. User sent best offer and I accepted. This morning I get this message.

Quote:
Placed 2 offers on this card and already bought another. Can we cancel this one? Thanks.
I can only cancel and let it slide, right? Nothing I can do?

Aggravating that people do this stuff.

You have two options:
1) Cancel the sale, relist, and move on.
2) Let the unpaid item case open, and hope he doesn't pay. What this does is it will give him an unpaid strike, which most sellers have settings to block buyers with 2 in the last six months (potentially preventing the buyer from doing this to more sellers). However, you run the risk of the buyer paying, getting the card, saying it was damaged (damaging it himself) and returning.

I typically go with #1, but go with your gut. If it's a high-dollar sale and not worth the risk, just cancel and move on. Sorry. You can also post the buyer's name so people can block him if they want.

the buyer is chrissalecollection and has 1841 feedback at 99.7%

It just sucks because my listing was one of my 10 fee free listing promos from the start of the month.
