Yes. I can't remember off the top of my head all of them that were numbered but I know Jordan, Duncan, Hill....etc are numbered. Then there are quite a few that aren't numbered. I also believe there are a couple of players that got mixed up and are numbered that shouldn't have been. Let me see if I can dig some information up.

yes, card numbers 1 -30 aren't numbered, cards 31-50 are numbered /250 with the excepion of MJ, Kemp, Marbury, Iverson, Grant Hill and Garnett, those are numbered to only /40

I believe all of the players that have a /40 are also in the /250 section. Couldn't tell you if the number on the back is the same or not.

first 30 are not numbered, last 20 are numbered to /250 (silver), /40 (gold) respectively

That sounds right. I was thinking Duncan was numbered to /40 also.

You are correct, duncan was numbered to 40. I think a psa 10 titanium duncan showed up recently on ebay. I don't know if the auction was legit, or if it was payed for, but the winning bid was insane. 19,000 if my memory is right.

nope, the Duncan /40 isn't from the Fusion Titanium set but from the Fusion set and this card sold for $19K in September, grading label cleary says "Fusion" but the seller listed it as "Titanium" erroneousely (?).

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-9-1998-...p2047675.l2557

there are a lot of players #d/40 in the Fusion set and some #d/250, it's a little bit confusing. Cards 1 - 30 from the Fusion set are also not serial #d like the Titanium.

I recently toyed with the idea of attempting to collect one of these sets which led me to search BO Forums and found this thread.

However I was wondering if anyone thinks these are heavily faked?

Have never heard of a metal fusion being faked.

I started this set years ago then gave up on quickly after I had purchased a bunch of them from a guy in Indonesia. They all came in smelling like clove cigarettes and were disgusting. I threw them into sleeves and a binder with a downy dryer sheet and put them away. There were common golds and silvers.. Here are a couple of pics. Scanner did some weird things with the scans when I took them

Woah, those scans are pretty wild, OJ.

I like the idea of collecting the non-numbered's as a set. Not too pricey. Still really cool.

definitely one of the cooler looking sets. ive got one of the damon /40 , they are super pretty when you get the light just right and the weight is great. I'd imagine they are super pricey these days?

Pretty sure that's the rarest Damon 90s true insert, right? Anything rarer that I am forgetting?

Great card.

yeah that duncan is part of the fusion /40 as is my damon - the jordan for example in natsturners pc on the logo has 'titanium supernatural fusion' - tbh its kinda confusing as hell.

Great card.
true as in not just a low numbered parallel of a base? yeah i guess itd be up there, ill have to have a look in my collection and see if anything competes.

i guess the spx grand finale is a close one but its /50

hrm i was going to say Hoops Starting 5 /5, but was getting confused with that one from 98/99 and the originals from 96/97 subset, but yeah its a parallel.

but yeah, i cant think of anything atm that's and insert and rarer

Anybody know of where any of the /40’s are hiding? I’d like to find a rodman and a Pippen.

Also, OJ, if you still have those unnumbered ones, I’d love to buy them all as a lot.

Yeah they were inserted with the clove cigarette scent, it was a new idea Fleer was playing around with in the late 90's.
Unfortunately using the downy dryer sheet is going to bring down the value of the set........UNLESS you can STILL smell the clove cigarettes.

Sorry for Necro-ing this thread, but I'm fully stumped. Purchased a Tim Duncan Supernatural Fusion card this weekend that walked up to my table at a large show. This is the first one I have EVER seen that is missing it's serial number stamp.

Has anyone ever heard of this on this set. Please see attached pics. Any help is appreciated!

One other thing to note about these cards is that some of the Supernatural Fusion cards are stamped as Titanium Supernatural Fusion. Here's my Jordan. Imagine my excitement when reading those words on the front of the card upon pulling it from a pack ~25 years ago, quickly followed by confusion because of the SN /250 on the back, not knowing what either version should look like.
