I have two young prospects born on my birthday-12-18. Byron Buxton(Twins) and Ronald Acuna(Braves). Do any of collect players born on your birthday? Im a Dodger fan, but found out on my birthday this year (MLB.com) that these two young players shared my birthday. Both are supposed to be pretty good players. Im tempted to collect some of their cards. Buxton has RCs?
Acuna I think doesnt have RCs. Ironic that the Dodgers traded for Kemp, which clears an outfield position for Acuna. |

I don’t know of any current players who share my birthday, but Yogi Berra and Lou Whitaker were born on May 12th and I do collect Lou Whitaker a bit.

I hadn't thought of this before but doesn't look like any of note for mine (Sept 25). I do collect cards numbered 9/25 though.

This is amazing. I started collecting Christian Arroyo, a little before the World Series started. Well, because of this thread, I just looked up which athletes share my birthday (May 30) and guess who? Christian Arroyo. Amazing coincidence.
Also, while looking this up, I found that wrestler Jake The Snake Roberts shares the same birthday. Coincidentally enough, he's the only wrestler I've ever considered collecting, because he was my favorite growing up. Another amazing birthday coincidence: When I was a kid, I collected Cal Ripken because every box I opened I seemed to hit a Ripken insert. After while, I had a bunch of them, so I just started keeping them and actively seeking out others. Well, at some point during his run up to breaking the Streak, I found out that the Streak actually started on my birthday, in 1982. |

There are other 10/28'ers out there from different years (Lenny Harris, Juan Guzman, Tim Bogar, Braden Looper), but Jeremy Bonderman (former Tigers pitcher) and Anthony Lerew (former Braves pitcher) are the two that were born on the exact same day as I was. I don't really collect them, other than having a few certs of each and an 8x10 of Bonderman.
As far as living celebrities, in different years, Julia Roberts, Dennis Franz, Bill Gates, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Paisley, Charlie Daniels, Lenny Wilkens, Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner, and Jack Eichel are among the more prominent October 28 birthdays. For those dearly departed, probably the most notable October 28s are Jonas Salk (polio vaccine), Bowie Kuhn (MLB commissioner), and legendary English author Evelyn Waugh (his most notable works were Brideshead Revisited, A Handful of Dust, and Scoop...interestingly enough, his daughter is my Aunt Teresa).

I've known for a long time that Dwight Evans and Bob Welch shared my birthday, but I just looked it up and saw that a couple other notable November 3 guys are Armando Benitez and Kyle Seager. I don't collect any of them but someday I should put together a RC of everyone that I can.

I share a birthday with Tom Seaver and Vernon Wells.
Interesting note....Vernon Wells was born 1 year after me in the SAME HOSPITAL! I collected him for a bit, but not really anymore...

Wow. Intriguingly offbeat question that admittedly would have never otherwise occurred to me. Intriguing and fun enough to make me just look it up.
Most famous option for me appears to be Alan Trammel. So no, don’t and won’t (though I liked watching him and Lou Whitaker in their day, and am happy for him on his recent HOF induction). But another name that jumped out was a guy born in 1875 named Dummy Taylor (think his real first name was Luther). Had never heard of him before, so looked on eBay to see if any cards, and looks like he has a Buffalo Bisons card in the T206 set that isn’t that outrageous. I’ve always wanted a T206 card since I was a kid, so maybe I will do it sometime when some of my other focuses quiet down for a bit. |

I share a birthday with Simon Cowell and Vladimir Putin - So yea.....
Oh, and Mookie Betts! Nice, I don't collect him but I do really like the player. That's a cool connection. I also always bet "10 & 7" hole cards when playing Texas hold 'em. Never "7 & 10" however - those are just bad hole cards and would be dumb. |

Fun thread!
I always look at the b-days listed on my cards to see if anybody has my birthday or my kids' B-days - current players with my birthday are Jacob DeGrom, Devin Mesoraco, and Colin McHugh. Lou Gehrig had it too. |
