Default 30 Blaster Boxes of Justin Bieber got me...

What an attention grabbing title, right?! Lmao. I did seriously gamble on 30x blaster boxes because they were dirt dirt dirt cheap, but I'll post that at the bottom of this thread.

I dont care about Bieber, and I'd assume most of you don't either.

Anyways... I grabbed a nice selection of boxes over NYE weekend.
4x Nightmare Before Christmas
3x Doctor Strange
2x Firefly the Verse

30x Bieber 2.0 blaster boxes

Nightmare Before Christmas - I had read and hoped that the autograph cards fell 1 per box, but one of the boxes had no hits. I did however hit 3 Film Strip cards, which is pretty sweet. I had read they fell roughly 1 per 4 boxes, so I definitely beat the odds there.

Jack Skellington autos galore!!!

Film Cels!

Doctor Strange - I knew this was a gamble, but come on! I wanted at least a sketch card and felt very shorted on the quality of hits. A letterman manufactured patch as a main hit? A coin card with 12 cents in it?!
Box 1:

Box 2:

Box 3:

Firefly the Verse - Again, I felt shorted in one of the boxes with it having an artist autograph card (instead of an actor)
Box 1:

Box 2:

And now....Bieber

This was basically a ~$50 gamble on hitting one of the only Bieber autograph cards ever made. They go for tons on ebay, so I figured "sure, why not..."

I had to have a few drinks first...and then started opening. I got through 29 blasters with nothing to show for it...and then the last pack of the 30th blaster...

I don't even think a few drinks would get me through those blasters but awesome it paid off for you.

Nice Firefly & TNBC boxes, sorry about the Dr. Strange

You must have beat the odds on the Bieber. Are they posted on the blaster box? I would think like 1:1000 boxes or something.

For the Firefly box, the artist autographs don't count as an autograph hit. What happens is the allocation in the case is screwed up, so another box from that case will have 3 autos. I opened a bunch of boxes and one of my boxes only had 1 actor auto but I found the missing auto in another box.

Bad news is it looks auto-penned

I'm not able to tell myself, but simply given who it is, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

As for the coin card- Are those all dated 1963 like the comic on the front? If that's the case that's a silver dime worth a cool $1.30 in melt!

I really do like the Firefly cards too, I wish I had opened some of those myself.

Yep that’s a 90% silver dime. Those cards belong in the apocalypse stash haha.

Sarandon's also the Vampire Jerry in the classic original "Fright Night".
Diggin' those film strip cards, too. (I'm like, ooh, baby, baby).
You definitely beat the odds by getting three of those. Congrats!

I dunno. I went and looked on eBay and they all seem to be a tad bit different from one another.

Sorry about the Dr. Strange, but you definetly killed the other ones! I opened a couple NBC boxes, and you're right, everything I found the film cels were really hard to hit, so that's great. Typically autos were one per box, but not guaranteed. NECA never put out any info on odds, print run or how many autos were signed, but most autos were Sarrandon and Shadix, Elfman and Burton seemed to sign very little.

That Stuhlbarg auto could turn into something. I’ve read he’s being talked about for an Academy Award nomination.

Hitting that Bieber auto must've gave you a little Bieber fever? Lol!

It is VERY possible that I beat the odds -- which are not even posted anywhere on the packs or blaster box. It just says 73 cards were signed. And I'd assume there are tens of thousands of these blaster boxes produced

Thanks for the info on Firefly. So I got the short end of the stick

Haha. You DID give me a scare, but yeah, when comparing the sigs on ebay they all have slight variations.

Good catch! It is indeed a silver dime. Cool.
