Default Question...what is the best Topps Star Wars Mark Hamill auto/release???

Thinking of taking a plunge on a Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker Topps Star Wars auto card. Which release do you think is the rarest, has the best image/card design, and the biggest investment potential??? Not too crazy about parallel signature releases either???

Well the b&w set sp color variant photo is awesome, but a sticker.

On card, I'd say either any tek or masterwork since stellar is way higher in price due to being bundled with Krennic on the redemption. I'm guessing the stellar image is from a new hope with the lightsaber.

I think the first will always be the best, and if I'm not mistaken, that was in Star Wars Heritage from 2004.

Was Heritage before Evolution? I thought that was the first. Or was he not in that?

He's not in Evolution or Evolution Update. Heritage was his first and it used to be worth a lot more during that time when it was his only SW autograph.

I like the first release of Chrome Perspectives. Especially the gold refractor.

Have any of the stellar redemption autos been redeemed? Or are you just assuming it will be that image vargaman? Because that would be awesome.

And it may be a sticker but the auto blends in very well to the art/ portrait of my Mark Hamill B&W color auto SP. Looks better in person.

I really like the look of his autograph from the online exclusive May the 4th set from last year. If it was on card and not a sticker it would be perfect.

Both of those May the 4ths are awesome! His ESB 3D Widevision is also very sharp AND extremely rare with only 25 made (approx.)
Some of those Star Wars Galaxy "sketchagraph" sketch cards he signed are also amazing, and each is truly unique.

He said he's guessing, I know I guessed the same thing when people were trying to figure out what the image might be. I think it'll be one of these, and this is pure speculation based on some of the stock photos they used for the main original actors.

My suggestion would be to get an original card from the 1977 Topps Star Wars set signed.
There are probably a 50 cards with Mark on it in the set, a Dozen or two with Luke as the predominant person in the image.

You'd be able to find some signed already on the market, or if you're not in a rush, wait for the inevitable 2018 private signing offered by www.officialpix.com and submit the exact card you want for Mark to sign. Expect to pay ~$350.

Thats a pretty cool idea. I thought I heard Mark Hamill was slowing down with his signings. Is that just a bunch of BS? And he got his star on walk of fame finally! That was well overdue.

He has slowed since the new movies (and skyrocketed in price), and I think the con appearances may be nearing an end, but he will likely be doing a yearly Private Signings for a few more years I imagine.

Like mentioned before. I'm a big fan of his 2015 Masterwork. Is a farmboy picture plus is on card. Plus when paired with any other card from the set they look great! Good Luck!
