Hi guys. Im new to this card forum but you can find me on many whiskey forums
I have about 70 bottles of whiskeys ranging from $50-$1200 Some open some sealed(mainly the higher end ones). My personal favorites are japanese whiskeys specifically hibiki 17 and 21. Im looking to add more. Where do you guys buy yours from? Anyone on here have some nice rare ones they would want to sell to me at a good price? |

https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=954276 How diff is whiskey from scotch? I was a big straight edge kid for almost 20 years so I don't know a whole lot about it. |

I just tried some McCallan 30 year for my 30th bday. Was at a Whiskey Bar in LA. Pretty good but pricy. Bottle is 3500+. Got me into thinking about collecting whiskey as well.

Love whiskey but can’t say I’m a collector. While I don’t have any $1k bottles I have cracked several nice ones and enjoy sampling the high, high end stuff at nice bars. Mostly a bourbon guy but in the last year or so have ventured into Scotch. Figured next will be Irish whiskeys. Trying to get my buddies onboard a golf trip to Ireland / Scotland to golf in the am then hit distilleries in the pm.

I am trying to find some more of these Yamazaki 18s. I opened 1 to drink and 1 to save for later. I am also looking for some Yamazaki 12s. I like them both they are so smooth.

I'm not really a collector per se, as I buy stuff I plan to drink. But I do have a bottle of Jack Daniels Barrel House 1 with the wood crate from 1994. My dad kept it for a long time as he's not a whiskey drinker and recently gave it to me. From what I can gather it's a rare-ish bottle and worth a couple hundred dollars.

I also only buy things I plan on drinking. Sipping on a Four Roses Single Barrell now. It's one of my favorites. Very excited to try the Blanton's Gold I'm expecting on Saturday =)

My brother moved to Kentucky about 10 years ago. I visited some bourbon distilleries around that time and I was hooked. I love bourbon but I don't drink it often. I enjoy drinking it with friends.
8 to 10 years ago, you could purchase the limited edition bourbons for a reasonable price (compared to today's prices) and a little hustle. I still have a lot of those bottles unopened. I should probably go check out my cellar and see what's down there. I know I have some killer bottles but I can't remember them all.

Bob Dylan is getting into the act. Pre-Order is available now. I do like the bottles though and just ordered a bottle of the Tennessee Whiskey to see what it is all about.

Originally i bought to drink - always 2 bottles - one to keep closed if i liked it
now those closed bottles have sky rocketed in value... so i am waiting for a special occasion but i do have open a bookers 25th anniversary bottle, a lost prophet etc... also have a major springbank collection. |

I like the Heaven's Door website, you click enter only if you're legal age in your state...then you can pay with the credit card info from a green dot cash load credit card and here comes the booze kiddies!

Anytime booze is shipped it must be signed for by someone over 21. So unless those kiddos also have an adult who will sign for them (in which case, the adult could just buy said "kiddies" the booze themselves) then the package will never be delivered.
