Default Didi Gregorius

Why does he not get any more hobby love?

Yes, salty about selling 50-100 PSA rookies for pennies last week.

I think he’s underrated because judge, Stanton, and Sanchez are on his team

How much love does he deserve? He's a .725 career OPS hitter with a .314 OBP.

Of 144 qualified MLB hitters last year in baseball, Didi was 109th in OBP.

He's a GG caliber SS that his cleanup in the Yankees lineup. One of the most underrated players in baseball.

If he puts up solid back 2 back years in the league, I'll be sold.

Career numbers are going to look much better playing at Yankee stadium. Already has knocked out 2 over the short porch in right today.

He's increased his OPS every year since age 24. Starting SS for the Evil Empire, likely projected to have an OPS ~0.800, and knock in 25-30 home runs. He was one of the only players showing consistency across all post season series last season. I would think that a TC Refractor RC Logo PSA 10 would go for more than $12-$13 on average at auction (excluding the occasional knee jerk BIN sales).

Sure Yankee stadium will help the OPS, but it doesn't help the OBP. Hell, his OBP in 2016 was even worse than last year at .304. That ranked him 129th of 146 qualified hitters.

He's never on base. What kind of value can a player have that doesn't mash HR's and never get's on base?

there's only one baseball in play at a time

dont forget the golden rule

Baseball Good and Baseball CARD Good are not always one in the same

also, his RCs have him in a D-Bags uniform

Value that is greater than his current SV, IMO. Agree to disagree.

You don't have to be an MVP candidate to sell, especially when your in the best selling market.

I certainly agree with that statement if Gregorius were leading this Yankee team. But between the big boys, Severino / Tanaka and even Chapman ... how much blood can you draw from the Yankee stone?

I’d love to see him bump up to a .350+ OBP, I think that’ll help a ton.

Didi Gregorius has been a better hitter away from Yankee Stadium.

Sir Didi Gregorious. Keep in mind he does have hobby love but he doesnt have a bowman rookie auto. He has a elite auto and his 2011 bowman chrome first year card. His other stuff does seem low in terms of his rookies but thats imo because there was about a 3-4 year gap between his prospect stuff and when he made it to the leagues.

His 1st Bowman was in 2011 and his MLB Debut was in 2012.

A lot of different jerseys probably doesn’t help, Reds to D-Backs and finally became relevant with the Yankees where there’s a lot of other players to share the hobby love with

Before the season started Didi had a career WAR of 11. He is 28 years old.

Here are your WAR leaders for all active 28 year olds:

Stanton 35
Altuve 29
Simmons 28
Freeman 27
Perez 19
Rendon 16
Springer 16

You get the picture... Didi is a nice player but he is not a difference maker. Even during his seemingly very productive 2017, he was only #74 behind such luminaries as Jason Vargas, Aaron Hicks, Whit Merrifield, Jed Lowrie, Travis Shaw, and Steven Souza Jr, all of whom are kindling in the hobby. The fact that he sells at all is a small miracle.
