2/3 of a year. When will my BGS order arrive?

Tomorrow marks 240 days since my Non-Guaranteed cards were received by BGS.... Anyone have any cards there longer than me? Anyone with an idea when I might expect my order to be graded and returned to me? I almost forgot what I sent them until I looked at my order.

9 months just passed for me. They're still holding my cards hostage. I figure it will be another 4-5 months before I get anything back. I'm sure glad I gave them $300 up front for their "service". The absolute last time I send anything in to those crooks.

That is so interesting and so unbelievably pathetic. With all the orders coming in you would think they'd be able to quickly find a solution by hiring a few scrubs off the street since no certification is required. Come to think of it, most of the graders I've seen at shows literally do look like scrubs off the street. Really makes me wonder (probably best I don't know) who is running the grading department and why they lack common business sense.

This is pretty unacceptable in my opinion. That's a long time to be withholding someones property, non-guaranteed turn-around or not.

I'm at 270 days since entered in the system. I think it will continue to get worse until they get passed the huge number submitted at the National.

Wow, I don't grade unless it's in a group thing so this is the 1st I heard of this. I would be fuming if I was you guys with orders in that long!

I'm assuming this was an in-person submission. Do they require you to pay upfront for that?

Send-in submissions don't get charged until the grade has been made.

Goodness. Is PSA just as bad? That’s a long time to hold some cards. This service only seems good for PC items and retired players.

BGS has always charged my card when the cards are processed as received.

Yes. My understanding is the guaranteed times have a moey back guarantee if they don't make deadline. (This doesn't apply if you get a discount beyond what is listed on the website).

I think they’ve been doing this intentionally to push people into upgrading to the higher tiered grading services but that’s just my own personal belief.

That would of course, be a PR nightmare for them if an internal memo or something similar leaked, not to mention vulnerability to lawsuit and/or charges of fraud.

What would be interesting is how long would it take for BGS to cancel the order and send the cards back if you got tired of waiting. Would that take months as well?

I talked to beckett about 2 weeks ago when I was submitting some cards, the guy said the Non-Guaranteed service would take about 10-12 months and recommend against it. I ask why the long of a wait, he said they have some shops that submit thousands of cards that way all year long.

The backlash they have faced is not worth the minimal extra fees they bring in for quicker turnaround times.

I paid upfront back in August of 2017... If this goes a year I'm gonna go crazy... All I know is I will never send cards non-guaranteed again, sucks... because I will probably spend more to get guaranteed service and will probably have to send in less and less of my collection.

Man that is ridiculous. Hopefully those are all PC cards and not ones you were grading to sell - missing an entire season would be devastating in that regard.
