Ok before anyone says oh another repeated thread. I am searching many topics and not starting threads that have been before. I just wanted a few perspectives in the here and now on this. I still buy packs but a lot less than when I started in 2010 again. I guess it's the nostalgic feeling of childhood and also the what if factor. It seems it's like the lotto hit once good and you get hooked. My hit was a while ago a 2008 Clayton Kershaw Topps heritage Red auto...also the only card I ever sent to psa and got a 9 too. I do admit to buying any signed...and I mean any signed rookie/prospect as they are new under $5 and put them away for what if's too. Sorry long winded at work typing fats...any other single pack buyers out there? I buy from blowout and a baseball acrd shop online...and other safe non searched places? Thank you for all your thoughts in advance. Giants1964
P.S. Sorry if this thread annoyed any members! |

If I were you I'd just buy a whole box of a product I like and open the packs over time....
... over like 10 mins. |

I buy packs. Spent $5 on a fat pack of Heritage at Walmart and pulled a Correa Throwback. Sold it for $450. Yeah, I buy packs

Theres a few pack searchers in my area. So 99 times out of 100 I will not buy a lose pack. But blasters and hangers on the other hand, they're my kryptonite. Whatever is there, I will buy. Usually wiping out all Bowman, Heritage, Gypsy, Archives, and Topps in one swoop. If you notice, I didn't mention Ginter, I leave Ginter for the kids & clectors. Seems like an educational type of product with all the random names in history they put in there.

Have bought random jumbo packs, knowing there’s a few autos in the boxes and odds should be pretty good
Some packs later, still no auto. I’ll do it just for shits and giggles But no more like I ever did years ago |

I almost only buy packs. But I should stick to sealed boxes.

My best 2 hits of 2017, which turned out to be my best 2 hits in several years, was from loose packs of open hobby boxes. But I highly doubt I'll ever have this type of luck again.
