Default Any tips on Ebay breaks?

So I think I want to start doing group breaks. I honestly just want to get cards for my team and potentially break even.

Are there any tips to break even? I was thinking about doing set buy it now prices per team then break when it is full.

Does that sound like a good idea or is there somewhere else for me to break at possibly?

Sorry if this seems like a simple question. Just looking for similar experiences because I am pretty nervous before pulling the trigger on an expensive case..

Thanks!

you can join breaks on here and you will rarely, if ever, break even on a group break.

Oh really?

It was my understanding that usually people that run breaks come out on top?

Sorry, this hobby is a lot different than 18 years ago when I used to buy packs at Walmart lol. Just getting back into it.

There are a lot of guys getting their butt kicked doing breaks....it takes awhile to get a loyal following....if you want a specific team, you are just better off participating in others breaks

Are wanting to join a group break or host them?

I'm glad I didn't take the jump and buy a case now.

Why is the hobby so darn expensive now if almost no one makes money off buying cases? How does it even sustain itself?

The same reason lottery tickets keep selling.

Group breaking is full of degenerates who are looking for something for nothing

If you are going to do it on Ebay you will have to refund buyers quiet often, so will likely end up losing any potential profit to that. And Ebay backs that up to a point, their policy says that a seller MUST refund a buyer should they get nothing in the break.

The thrill of the chase. Pack ripping can be an addiction, just like any other form of gambling.

I’ve done it a few times, but just don’t have the time to do it right. Some keys to starting.

1. If you want to get a following you’ll probably need to run some $0.99 auctions to start. You may lose money, but it is what it is. I did this and broke even or made money every time, but it is what it is. Over time the auctions will start going for more and you’ll be able to list some buy it nows.

2. Make sure you have good equipment and use a wired internet connection if possible. People will want to be sure you’re not cheating them since you’re new, so get a couple HD cameras going. Never let the boxes/packs get off the screen or they’ll question you.

3. If you do BIN on eBay, you’ll probably have to auction off some teams with people in the break. Not likely that all will sell in a reasonable amount of time unless you have them priced cheap

5. If you are keeping your pc team cards make it VERY CLEAR that you are doing so.

4. SHIP NEXT DAY.

5. Have every side top loader and sleeve available. You don’t want to be stuck without on

There’s a million other guidelines, but those are some basics.
