A stroll down Photobucket Memory Lane... oof. (+ Public Service Announcement)

So I found one of my old Photobucket’s last night and man.... it wasn’t pretty. I had a few other PB’s but those are apparently now non-existent because of them pooping the bed, but here’s some of the highlights (or lowlights for me). Some of the original HK members might recognize some of these cards, as I collected Pau Gasol, Corey Maggette, Rodney Carney and Grizzlies stuff (Yes, I’m Ty).

However, here’s also a quick PSA... don’t do drugs. I used to own all these cards and a whole hell of a lot more but basically sold them all for pennies on the dollar to fund my drug habit for a couple weeks. I can’t remember how much I sold this stuff for and don’t want to, honestly. It makes me shudder to think. I wish I could have all these back, along with a time machine, but you live and you learn. Basically.... don’t do drugs is why I’m getting at.

Sadly, there’s a lot more and a lot of stuff I can’t find anymore obviously — Duncan’s, Kobe’s, Shaq’s, LeBron’s, lots of 2004-05 Finest and 05-06(?) Topps 1952’s and so on.... oof. I hate myself.

Just thought I’d share my misery with y’all. Hopefully someone on here at least owns one of the cards above and is giving it a good home.

P.S. The football version of this is a whole lot worse. Waaaaaaay worse.

Uh, yeah, me too. Pretty sure it’s worth a little bit more than the $400 I paid for it way back when.

Plus you have the best Paxton Lynch collection in the world, and I'm hoping you continue with it and have the opportunity to find ultra exclusive stuff for dirt cheap!

Hey man I too once had an opiate addiction. The only thing I didn't sell however was my cards. Too much love for them but yeah I understand this completely and all too well.......

I wonder how many of those cards are buried in PCs that haven’t been looked at or even forgotten about buy the current owner now? Those are some pretty rare cards, congrats OP on kicking the addiction.

Thanks for sharing the bittersweet trip. Even though it's also bittersweet on this side of the table looking at all of those monsters and imagining what could have been, it's much easier to not only bear, but smile about the present knowing you're here and chatting about it coherently on the boards. I can't speak from experience, but I know that overcoming a drug addiction is no small deal, and you should feel prouder of that than of any card collection.
